TG POLYCET Syllabus 2025 and check the Exam Pattern for Polytechnic Entrance Test has been released by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad.

TG POLYCET is a Polytechnic common entrance test conducted by SBET for admission into Diploma level programmes conducted in Government, aided, Private unaided polytechnics and polytechnics run in existing Private unaided Engineering Colleges.

TG POLYCET for the candidates seeking admission into Agriculture Diploma Courses offered by Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) both University and affiliated polytechnics in Telangana.

Every candidate desirous of seeking admission into Engineering/Non – Engineering Diploma courses can apply through online for POLYCET.

No separate application form for admission is prescribed. The filled-in application for POLYCET itself is an application for admission.

The time duration for the TG POLYCET Entrance exam: The examination (POLYCET) will be of 2 hours duration consisting of only one paper as per the syllabus in the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biological Science of X Class (SSC) Examination March / April as prescribed by the State Board of Secondary Education, Telangana

The Question paper consists of 120 questions with a choice of four responses for each question with only one correct response among them. The pattern proposed is as follows.

TG POLYCET Exam Pattern Details

Candidates should not bring any other material besides the items listed at Serial No. 5 above. This instruction sheet should also not be brought into the examination Hall. It will be available in the Examination hall for ready reference.

Candidates should not bring Logarithmic Tables, Calculators, pagers, Cell phone or any other supporting electronic gadgets into the Examination Hall.

Any candidate found in possession of any forbidden material will be sent out of the Examination Hall and may also lead to the cancellation of a performance of the candidate.

Candidates must remain seated in their allotted places until the completion of the Examination. They will not be allowed to leave the examination Hall until 12 00 Noon, i.e. one hour after the commencement of the Examination. Before leaving, the candidates must return the response sheet/answer sheet and can take away the question paper booklet.

Every Candidate appearing for POLYCET shall be provided with a specially designed Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Response Sheet (Answer Sheet) on which he or she must mark his or her answers and other relevant data.

This section illustrates the method of marking the answers. Candidates are advised to go through the instructions given for marking the answers and other entries on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet thoroughly and practise the same at their residence, which will make it easy for them to answer in the Examination Hall.

Further, Candidates are advised not to scribble or make any marks on the response sheet except marking the answers and other relevant data at the appropriate place on the Response Sheet. Any violation of these instructions will automatically disqualify the Candidate.

Candidates shall note that they will not be given a second blank Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet under any circumstances.

Hence they are advised to be very careful while handling the OMR response sheet. Candidates shall read the instruction sheet carefully before starting to answer the questions.

The question paper booklet given to the Candidates shall consist of 120 multiple-choice questions in 5 different sections. Four responses are given to each question, and only one response is correct for each question.

Candidates shall mark the correct answer in the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet by shading in Dark the appropriate circle with HB/2Bpencil only. They should not use under any circumstance Ball pen for this purpose.

Candidates shall be required to indicate their Hall ticket number on the Optical mark reader (OMR) response sheet. It shall be done as demonstrated by shading the appropriate circle.

Candidates are requested to answer all questions. All questions carry equal marks. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

How to download the TG POLYCET Syllabus PDF?

SBTET Telangana would release the Polytechnic Entrance Exam notification on its web portal. Students who want to apply for the Telangana POLYCET examination can check the details and download the detailed information bulletin, Syllabus, and exam pattern from the official website, polycotton.nic.in.

Students should read the notification before going to submit the application. To download syllabus, students should follow the given simple steps.

  1. Visit the polycotton.nic.in Website: Students need to visit the official website of the TG Polytechnic Entrance Test. To do this, on your device browser, type the website address polycotton.nic.in, press the enter button, and you will see the website displayed on the device screen.
  2. Click on the Notification link: Once you reach the official website of POLYCET Telangana, click on the notification link as shown in the home page. After clicking on it, a new web page will appear on the screen.
  3. Download the Syllabus PDF: A new web page will appear after clicking on that link. On this page, click on the Syllabus PDF link. A detailed Information Bulletin Booklet PDF file would be opened in your device.
  4. Check the Syllabus: After downloading the Prospectus Booklet PDF, open the PDF file and read it carefully before going to appear the Telangana Polytechnic entrance examination.
  5. Download the Booklet: The Telangana POLYCET Syllabus, including the Booklet PDF, will be available on the notification web page. Download the PDF file and read the complete information.
  6. Print the Syllabus: After reading and checking all the information, click on the Print button to print out the notification. This is useful for online applications and getting more information about POLYCET.

TS SBTET News: This is to inform you that the Question paper pattern for the POLYCET Common Entrance Examination Test for admission into Polytechnics from the academic year onwards has changed.

The Duration of the Entrance Exam is two hours ( 120 minutes). The question pattern is multiple-choice questions, each worth one mark. Hence, it is requested to give wide publicity for the benefit of candidates who are attending the class X examination.
