TS School Leadership Academy, Government of Telangana, School Education Department, Proposal for Constituting State Resource Group. 1. It is to inform that the department of School Education, Telangana proposes to establish School Leadership Academy at State Level. In this connection it is proposed to constitute a State Resource Group (SRG) with eligible persons from among the category of eligible persons and possessing the Characteristics.
Persons who match the two conditions at and 2 and 3 and are interested to be the members of SRG may submit their application to the Director, SCERT in the Proforma enclosed to this Notification through email at tgscert@gmail.com on or before 17.01.2017.
Eligibility:
Persons falling in any of the following categories are eligible to apply
i. Existing Principals or Head Masters ii. Retired Principals or Head Masters
iii. District I Block I Cluster Officials like BRC/CRC/EI
iv. Staff from SCERT / CTE / IASE /DIET
v. Resource Persons from NGOs and Freelancers vi. Certified Trainers in Education in the State.

Sub: School Education Department – Establishment of School Leadership Academy at State Level – Selection of members for the State Resource Group – Inviting applications from those interested and eligible as per given criteria – Reg.
It is to inform that the department of School Education, Telangana proposes to establish the School Leadership Academy at State Level. In this connection, it is proposed to constitute a State ResourceGroup (SRG) with eligible persons as per the criteria given in the Press Note and also hosted on the website of SCERT www.scert.telangana.gov.in (Copy Enclosed).
The District Educational Officers are requested to give wide publicity through press releases in the local newspaper from I & PR Department by keeping in the Notice Board of Schools, DIET, CTEs, etc. with a request to submit their application directly to the Director, SCERT through email at tgscert@gmail.com on or before 17.01.2017.
SRG are expected to possess the following characteristics:
Candidates aspiring to be members of SRG are expected to possess the following characteristics
i. Knowledge in the area of School Education both at academic and administrative
ii. Understanding of school leadership and issues and challenges of the school heads in performing their roles
iii. Command over the regional language, use of precise words relevant to the field
iv. Effective facilitating skills, people development methods and techniques and using a people-centric approach to deliver the programme
v. Understanding and valuing individual identity and reality and believing that potentially every individual wants to learn and improve
vi. Competent to support school heads by providing opportunities to learn, develop and practice skills to overcome their issues
vii. Committed to providing a space where school heads feel comfortable to learn, discuss and bring change in their school’s
viii. Openness to learning from the field.
SRG is only a Resource Group:
State Resource Group is not full-time employment. It is only a Resource Group that shall be attached to the School Leadership Academy of the State whose services shall be used as and when required and as per the Rules of the State Government.
Only TA/DA and other allowances shall be paid to SRG members:
Members selected for SRG cannot claim any monetary benefit in any form for being a member of SRG including monthly allowance, honorarium, other allowances etc. However, when deputed for programmes TA /DA and other allowances shall be paid as per State Rules.
6. The selection of the members of the SRG shall be made by a duly constituted Selection Committee and the decision of the Committee shall be final.
7. No member selected for the SRG can claim permanence as a member. Discontinuation of any member from the SRG shall be purely the discretion of the Director of School Education.
