TS TET On June 12

The State government will conduct the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test (TS TET) 2023 on June 12. Paper-I of the test will be held from 9.30 am to 12 noon and Paper-II from 2.30 pm to 5 pm. Interested and eligible candidates can download the information bulletin and detailed notification from https://tstet.cgg.gov.in.

Candidates have been repeatedly appeared to get more marks with the TET marks on DSC / TSPSC exams. The percentage of eligibility criteria for analyzing past TET results is very low. But B.Ed and DEd students are working hard to qualify for all of them. The test of the TET is exactly 40 days.

Earlier, as per guidelines issued by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the State government made amendments to eligibility criteria for TET. Candidates with graduation with at least 50 per cent of marks (45 per cent in case of SC/ST/BC differently abled) and passed in bachelor of education/bachelor of education (special education) have also been given eligibility. The government has also extended the validity period of the TET qualifying certificates for life. This provision will have retrospective effect from the date of enforcement of TET guidelines i.e., 11.02.2011.

TS TET News:

TS TET 2023 to be conducted through Online mode this year. Official notification to be out soon and TS TET Exam to be conducted as per the notified schedule for B.Ed and D.Ed course completed candidates. The T Government expects that the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) must be conducted before issuing a notification for the recruitment of new teachers. It seems to have basically come to the conclusion that it cannot proceed without conduct of TET.

There was pressure from the candidates those who have passed BED and DED to conduct TET to increase the score. It is hoped that legal issues will also arise if it is not held. It is noteworthy that the TET is also conducted before giving the notification of the last Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT).

To write a TRT, you must pass the TET. Marks in TET have a weightage of 20% in TRT. Ranks are assigned after that. That is why candidates who have passed once will write again for higher marks. The last time the TET was held was on July 23, 2017 after the emergence of the state. It is estimated that about three and a half to four lakh BED and DED graduates are likely to attend the latest test.

This time the TET is likely to be conducted online. Proposals were sent to the government when Kishan was the school education commissioner to conduct the TET online (computer based test-CBT). Governments are also of the opinion that the online approach is better than the paper-pen approach in the current scenario.

The score of those two TETs remained. TET was held four times in the joint state and twice after the emergence of Telangana state. The deadline for a three-TET score in the Unified state was already seven years.

The last TET‌ held in March 2014 will also expire in March next year. The first test was held in Telangana in May 2016 and the last time on July 23, 2017. This means that those who pass the examinations conducted after the emergence of the T state will be eligible for the TRT conducted for teacher Posts. That is why the test will be held again.
