Osmania University Hyderabad will release the TG ECET 2025 Schedule or TG ECET notification 2025 for the TS engineering common entrance test on its website (https://ecet.tsche.ac.in/).

Students who are interested in can check details and apply online mode Telangana State ECET 2025 official web portal. TG ECET is scheduled to be conducted for the Seventh time in Telangana state by JNTUH on behalf of the TSCHE.

Engineering Common Entrance Test is a Computer Test (CBT) for Diploma & BSc (Mathematics) Degree. Candidates will be conducted for lateral entry into B.E / B. Tech. / B.Pharm. courses offered during the academic year 2025-26 in the State of Telangana. How to submit TG ECET online application? (Know more detail from here)

The TG ECET will be conducted online. The official notification will be issued on 17.03.2021. Eligible candidates can submit their application online only.

A Common Entrance Test is designated as the Engineering Common Entrance Test for Diploma Holders and B.Sc.(Mathematics) Degree Holders and in short as ECET (FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics) will be conducted by JNTUH on behalf of TSCHE for B.Sc.(Mathematics) degree holders.

TG ECET Details

(i) For lateral admission through Common Entrance Test into 2nd year regular B.E. and B.Tech Courses in All India Council for Technical Education approved Un-Aided Private Professional institutions (Minority & non-Minority).

(ii) For admission through Common Entrance Test into 1st year, Regular BE and B. Tech Courses in University Engineering Colleges for the seats specifically earmarked for Diploma holders and B.Sc degree holders.

(iii) For lateral admission through Common Entrance Test into 2nd-year Regular B. Pharmacy Courses in both University and private un-Aided professional institutions (Minority & Non-Minority) approved by Pharmacy Council of India.

Note: B.Sc. (Mathematics) Degree holders are not eligible for admission into B.Pharm. Course. This time a three-year Polytechnic Diploma in Chemical and Pharmacy is eligible for admission to BTech Biotechnology

Eligibility Criteria to appear for ECET:

Candidates should satisfy the following requirements to be eligible for appearing at the ECET [FDH & B.Sc. (Mathematics)].

(i) They should be of Indian Nationality.
(ii) They should belong to the State of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local/nonlocal status requirements as laid down in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended. The same is adapted to the state of Telangana G.O.Ms.33 dated 31.12.2014

(iii) They should have obtained a Diploma in Engineering/Technology/ Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Telangana State/Andhra Pradesh or any other Diploma recognized by the Government of Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto for admission into the relevant B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Pharm. Courses corresponding to the Diplomas as given in the following Annexure-IV.

(OR) They should have passed the 3-year B.Sc Degree examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the group combination from a recognized University in the Telangana/Andhra Pradesh state or its equivalent for entry into relevant courses as given in the following Annexure-IV.

(iv) Candidates who are pursuing a Diploma course shall be eligible for entry into the relevant B.E./B.Tech./B. Pharmacy courses provided they have completed the practical training prescribed for the award of diploma course before admission into the college.

(v) Candidates should have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy/ B.Sc. (Mathematics) Degree as the case may be with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) for entry into relevant courses.

Eligibility for admission into B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm:

(1) For lateral admission into 2nd year regular B.E. / B.Tech. Courses in both University and Un-Aided Private Professional institutions (Minority & non-Minority) approved by All India Council for Technical Education.

(2) For lateral admission into 2nd-year Regular B. Pharmacy Courses in both University and private un-Aided professional institutions (Minority & Non-Minority) approved by Pharmacy Council of India.

Candidates should have appeared and qualified at the ECET. Mere appearance at the Entrance Test does not automatically entitle a candidate to be considered for entry into any course unless the candidate satisfies the requirement of eligibility and other criteria laid down in the rules of admission.

Admission to 85% of the seats in each course shall be reserved for the local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be un-reserved seats as specified in the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.

Qualifying marks in ECET [FDH & B.Sc. (Mathematics):

The qualifying percentage marks for obtaining a rank in ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)] is 25% of the aggregate marks in the four subjects (three subjects for B.Sc. Mathematics) i.e., 50 marks out of a total of 200. However, in the case of SC/ST candidates, there shall be no minimum qualifying marks for ranking the candidates.

The rank obtained with the benefit of relaxation of the minimum qualifying marks at the ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)] by any candidate claiming to belong to SC/ST category will be cancelled in case the claim is found to be invalid at the time of admission.

Evaluation and ranking in ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics):

(i) The student will be ranked (Integrated Merit Rank) based on the marks obtained by him/her in the ECET [FDH & B.Sc. (Mathematics)] Examination.

(ii) Every care will be taken to avoid errors in valuation, checking, scrutiny, tabulation and ranking. Hence request for re-totalling, revaluation or personal identification of scripts will in no case be entertained. Candidates will be ranked in the order of merit in ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)] separately in each branch of Engineering Course.

(iii) As per Government Order all Diploma holders in any branch of Engineering/ Technology, who qualify in ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)] are eligible for admission into B.Tech. Information Technology and Computer Science and Engineering branches.

The Integrated Merit Rank is used for admission into a B.Tech. Information Technology Course. It is based on the total marks obtained in ECET [FDH & B.Sc. (Mathematics)] by candidates with a Diploma in any branch of Engineering/Technology.

(iv) (a) Engineering: In case of a tie in aggregate, the marks obtained in Engineering subject, and in case of further tie the marks obtained in the Mathematics subject and if the tie still continues, the marks obtained in physics subject will be taken into account to decide the relative ranking.

If candidates get equal marks in each of the four subjects, they will be bracketed for the purpose of awarding rank. The candidate’s age will be considered at the time of admission to resolve the tie, with the older candidate being given preference.

(b) Pharmacy: Candidates will be ranked on the basis of merit in ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)]. In case of a tie, the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration. On a further tie, age will be taken into consideration; the older candidate will be given priority.

c) B.Sc.(Mathematics): Candidates will be ranked based on the marks obtained in the entrance examinations. In case of a tie in aggregate the marks obtained in Mathematics subject and in case of further tie the aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination shall be taken into account to resolve the tie

(v) The rank cards will be posted to the candidates address as given in the application.

Eligible candidates who wish to apply for ECET may submit their applications through ONLINE mode ONLY from as per the announced schedule

The detailed notification and “Instruction Booklet” displayed on the website http://ecet.tsche.ac.in/ provide detailed information regarding syllabi, list of courses, procedure for online application without late fee, etc.

This is only a Notification for the entrance test. At the time of admission, the candidate must fulfil the eligibility criteria laid down in the relevant G.Os. The Registration fee may be paid at TS Online/ AP Online/ Mee Seva /e-Seva centres in Telangana State or A.P. through the Payment Gateway (Credit card/Debit card).
