TSMS CET 2024 or TS Model School Entrance Test 2024 notification has been released by Govt of Telangana, the Education Department on TSMS CET web page of TS Model School Official web portal https://telanganams.cgg.gov.in.

TS Model Schools Entrance Test 2024 would be conducted for 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th Class Admissions in Telangana Model Schools.

Applications are invited from the eligible students for admission into 6th class and filling up of backlog vacancy seats in 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th Class in TS Model Schools through TS Model School Admission Test for the academic year 2024.

The last date for payment of fee and submission of online applications for TS Model Schools Admission Test 2024 for admission to 6th Class & for vacant seats in 7th to 10th Classes has been extended up to 08-03-2024.

TS Model School Admission 2024

The online application process for TS Model School Admission 2024 in the Telangana state will end on 08-03-2024. The TSMS CET exams will be held on the notified date from 10 am to 12 pm for 6th Class and for 7-10 classes on the before day from 10 am to 12 pm.

There are 18,400 seats available in 194 model schools across the state. Seats will be filled on the basis of merit and reservation achieved in the TS Model School entrance examination.

Specially hostels have been built for girls in the model schools. Students studying in model schools pass over 90 per cent in SSC results. There is a fully English medium in teaching here.

Intermediate education was made available in the same model schools for those who passed the tenth class to reduce dropouts. Students are trained in intermediate as well as IIT, NEET and EAMCET.

The Model Schools Scheme is meant for catering to the needs of Educationally Backward Mandals to provide quality education on Kendriya Vidyalaya template.

Model School Concept is basically a Model School will have infrastructure and facilities of the same standard as in Kendriya Vidyalayas and with stipulations on pupil-teacher ratio, ICT usage, holistic educational environment, appropriate curriculum and emphasis on output and outcome.

The Government had taken this a challenging task to compete with the CBSE schools. The medium of instructions in model schools totally in English.

Model Schools were the brainchild of Union Government and were set up in the most backwards manuals of the district.

All the students who domicile from the mandal or studied in the particular Mandal in any recognized institution are exclusively eligible for admission into the Model Schools.

Last date for submitting online applications for Telangana Model Schools: The last date for submitting online applications for admissions into Class VI and vacant seats in Classes VII to X in Telangana Model Schools for the academic year 2024-2 5.

The application fee for OC & EWS candidates is Rs.200 and for others the fee is Rs.125. The entrance test for admissions into Classes VII to X and Class VI is on April 16 respectively. For more details, visit the website http://telanganams.cgg.gov.in.

TS Model School Entrance Test – Each Model School will be considered as a unit: Submission of wrong online information will lead to cancellation of admission without any notice. Caste and Date of Birth Certificates should be submitted to the Principal at the time of admission.

Local status of the candidate: Students of Erstwhile Mandal by virtue of domicile (Nativity) where the Model School is located or who have studied one of the two previous classes in Government / Recognized School in the Mandal where the Model School is located are to be considered as eligible for Admission Test.

Example: For admission into VI class the candidate should have studied IV or V class in the Mandal where the Model School located.

For admission into VII class either V or VI, for admission into VIII class either VI or VII, for admission into IX class either VII or VIII likewise. In case if the seats are not filled by the local students in the selected list then non-locals in the selected list will be considered for admission.

TSMS CET Eligibility

Education Qualification: 1. The students, those who were passed VI, VII, VIII and IX classes are eligible for applying for VII, VIII, IX and X classes (Vacant Seats) into Model Schools for this academic year 2024-2025.

And 5th Class passes students are eligible for applying for 6th Class Entrance Test. Students studying in Telugu / English Medium are eligible to appear for the Entrance Test.

The student should have studied continuously in the respective district for the two academic years in a Government school or in a school recognized by the Government.

Parental Income should not exceed Rupees One Lakh per annum. The candidates can apply to any Telangana Model School of the district for which he/she belongs.

Age limit: For 6th Class Admission: For 6th Class: SC / ST students should have born between 01.09.2007 to 31.08.2011 and (10 years to 14 years but not completed the 14 years) and OC / BC / SC-Converted Christians (BC-C) should have born between 01.09.2009 to 31.08.2011. (10 years to 12 years but not completed the 12 years) and

For 7th Class: SC / ST students should have born between 01.09.2006 to 31.08.2010 and (11 years to 15 years but not completed the 15 years) and OC / BC / SC-Converted Christians (BC-C) should have born between 01.09.2008 to 31.08.2010. (11 years to 13 years but not completed the 13 years) and

For 8th Class: SC / ST students should have born between 01.09.2005 to 31.08.2009 and (12 years to 16 years but not completed the 16years) and OC / BC / SC-Converted Christians (BC-C) should have born between 01.09.2007 to 31.08.2009. (12 years to 14 years but not completed the 14 years) and

For 9th Class: SC / ST students should have born between 01.09.2004 to 31.08.2008 and (13 years to 17 years but not completed the 17 years) and OC / BC / SC-Converted Christians (BC-C) should have born between 01.09.2006 to 31.08.2008. (13 years to 15 years but not completed the 15 years) and

Age criteria:

• VI Class – Candidate should have completed 10 years of age as on 31st August of the Academic year in which he/she is seeking admission.
• VII Class – Candidate should have completed 11 years of age as on 31st August of the Academic year in which he/she is seeking admission.
• VIII Class – Candidate should have completed 12 years of age as on 31st August of the Academic year in which he/she is seeking admission.
• IX Class – Candidate should have completed 13 years of age as on 31st August of the Academic year in which he/she is seeking admission.
• X Class – Candidate should have completed 14 years of age as on 31st August of the Academic year in which he/she is seeking admission.

TS Model School Selection

Selection of Process (Admission Procedure): Admission for 7th to 10th classes shall be done as per the procedure followed by TSMS.

While doing this, the candidates from the same Mandal where Model School is functioning will be given preference. Admissions will be done on the basis of a written test/ entrance test.

Entrance Exam Fee (Registration Fee): (a) for BC/ SC/ST Students -Rs.125/- (b) for Other means OC Students: Rs.200/-. Fee can be paid or through the payment gateway.

Rule of Reservation: (i). 15% and 6% seats in each class shall be reserved for candidates belonging to the SCs and STs respectively. (ii). 29% of the seats in each class shall be reserved for BCs and shall be allocated among the five groups of BCs as shown below:

a) Group – A 7%
b) Group – B 10%
c) Group – C 1%
d) Group – D 7%
e) Group – E 4%

iii. Physically Challenged students: 3% (in the reservation group of the students). iv. 33.33% seats shall be reserved for Girls in all categories as indicated in Clause 4 (vii) of G.O.Ms.No.24 Secondary Education (Prog.-II) Dept., dt.10.06.2016.

v. If a sufficient number of candidates of any particular category are not available to fill up the seats reserved for that group, they may be filled up by suitable candidates as indicated in Clause 4(x) of G.O. above.

vi. 50% of seats will be for open category. vii. Each of the Classes VI to X has two sections with an intake of 50 each. While admitting the Students, the Class shall be taken as a unit of 100 Students for Classes VI to X.

It is decided to conduct online test for Admission into VI Class in TS Model Schools and for leftover seats as on date of Admission for classes VII to X for the academic year 2024-2024.
