24 Govt Degree College Librarian Posts
TGPSC has informed us that online applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Librarians in Government Degree Colleges under the control of the Commissioner of Collegiate Education for various categories of posts as per the schedule.
71 Librarian Posts in CIE & CTE
Of the total posts, 40 are for the Librarian under the control of the commissioner of Intermediate Education, and the other 31 are for the Librarian under the control of the commissioner of Technical Education.
For Librarians under Intermediate education, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce and a postgraduate degree in Library Science with first or second class (not less than 50% marks) from a recognized university.
For Librarian under Technical education, there are two levels. For level 9-A. a master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or an Equivalent Professional Degree with at least first class and knowledge of computerization of library will be required.
In addition, candidates need to qualify national level test conducted or approved by UGC. For level 10, a master’s degree with first class and UGC NET, CSIR NET or other UGC approved qualifications like SLET, CET or PhD will be considered.
71 Librarian Posts in Intermediate and Technical Education Departments: TSPS has informed that online applications are invited from the eligible candidates for post of Librarians in Intermediate Education and Technical Education Departments.
Detailed Notification with a breakup of vacancies, age, scale of pay, Community, Educational qualifications, and other detailed instructions will be available at the Commission’s Website. The total number of vacancies and categories are subject to variation upon intimation from the department concerned.
Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess the requisite qualifications as detailed below, specified in the relevant Service Rules, indented by the Department, as on the date of Notification.
Librarian in Intermediate Education: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce and a Postgraduate Degree in Library Science with first or second class with not less than 50% of marks from a university in India established or incorporated under a central act, state act, or a provincial act, or an institute recognized by the University Grants Commission or an equivalent qualification.
Librarian in Technical Education: LEVEL-9-A, Entry Pay 56,100/- 1. Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or an Equivalent Professional Degree with at least first class or its equivalent and consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
Qualifying in the National Level Test conducted for the purpose by UGC or other equivalent test as approved by the UGC LEVEL-10 Entry Pay 57,700/- A Master’s degree with First Class or equivalent and have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR or a similar test accredited by UGC, like SLET/ CET or Ph.D.
Age limit: The candidates should possess the Minimum 18 years & Maximum 44 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per the govt norms.
Recruitment Fee: Each applicant must pay Rs. 200/- towards the Online Application Processing Fee. The applicants have to pay RS. 120/- towards Examination Fee. However,
