Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhad University will conduct the Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination for Bachelor’s in Education (JEE BEd 2023) for the second consecutive year. The Joint Entrance Test will be held for over 2.5 lakh BEd seats in over 2,000 colleges across the state.

MJPRU is preparing a proposal for the conduct of the examination, which will be sent to the government and then the admission schedule will be declared. Result for the B.Ed JEE 2023 is expected to be announced between May 10 and 15 and counselling is likely to conclude by June last week.

Candidates start preparations well in advance since the university has already indicated the syllabus. The question paper is based on the subjects of general knowledge, general aptitude, language (English/ Hindi) and the professional subject.
There will be two papers in the written exam. As per the latest paper pattern, the indicative topics are distributed across two papers. Paper 1 is based on general knowledge and language (English/ Hindi). Paper 2 is based on the subjects of general aptitude and professional subject depending on the qualification of the candidate. Each of the aforementioned sections has 50 MCQ type questions in the paper carrying 2 marks per question.

What is the UP BEd Exam Pattern?
The UP BEd JEE Syllabus is divided into two papers. Paper I focuses on general knowledge and English/Hindi, while Paper II focuses on the remaining areas in arts, science, and commerce. All of the subjects in the UP BEd JEE syllabus have the same weightage, which is 25 per cent. Paper I is mandatory, whereas Paper II is subject-specific (as per the subject selected by the applicant when filling out the form). Paper I and Paper II will each last three hours, for a total of six hours. Candidates will receive two points for each correct answer and one-third of a point for each wrong answer.
