From this year onwards, the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE) will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It has been renamed as Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test (UPCET 2025).
The online application process has already begun for the entrance exam at the new official website upcet.nta.nic.in.
As per NTA news, The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the application deadline for the Uttar Pradesh Entrance Test (UPCET) 2025.
The application process which was to be closed on May 31 has been extended till July 15. The deadline is extended based on representations received from candidates, claims NTA.
The Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test (UPCET) 2025 exam that was scheduled to be held on June 15 has been postponed again due to the rise in the number of Covid19 cases.
The final date for holding the exams is not decided yet and will be announced later. This is the second time that the exam is being postponed. It was first scheduled to be held in May.
Along with the exam dates, the registration deadline too has been deferred. Now, interested candidates can apply till June 20 by 5 pm. The window to submit fee online will close at the same time.

Students who are interested to join up courses and pg courses can apply on its official website for admission to the first year undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and lateral entry to second year UG programmes to professional courses at government, government-aided institutions,
and private-unaided institutions affiliated to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT) and other state universities based in Uttar Pradesh via the exam.
UPCET 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on May 16 (postponed). UPCET will be held at 57 centres across India as a computer based test. The question paper will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions.
The question papers of undergraduate courses and MBA (integrated) and MCA (integrated) courses will be bi-lingual in nature– English and Hindi. However, the question papers for postgraduate level exams will be in English only.
Those who clear UPCET undergraduate programmes including BPharma, BHMCT (Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology), BDes, BVoc, BFA, BFAD. While at postgraduate level, students can get admission to five-year integrated MCA, five-year integrated MBA, BBA, BPharm.
The postgraduate programmes MCA, MSc (maths), MSc (physics), MSc (chemistry) and via lateral entry BTech for diploma holders, BTech for BSc graduates, BPharm.
Till 2020, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, used UPSEE for admission to Engineering and other professional courses.
However, the institute had last year announced it will use JEE Main, the national level entrance exam for admission to first year BTech, BArch and MTech (integrated) programmes.
While JEE Main will be used for admission to undergraduate Engineering programmes, UPCET will be used for admission to other professional programmes at UG and PG level, and for lateral entry to BTech programmes.

UPCET 2025 is a new exam announced to replace Uttar Pradesh State Engineering Entrance Exam (UPSEE). The exams of UPCET 2025 will be held on the above said date.

How to apply for UPCET 2025 (UPJEE 2025):
- Go to the official website, upcet.nta.nic.in
- Click on the designated registration link
- On the next window, insert the personal details including names, contact numbers
- Login with the system-generated registration ID
- Fill the UPCET 2025 application form
- Submit details including educational qualification
- Upload the requisite documents
- Pay the application fee in online mode using Debit Card, Credit Card, GPay
- Submit the application form and take its print out for future reference.

Apart from AKTU, Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur, Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur, and some other state universities will also use this entrance exam for the 2025-25 academic session.

Candidates qualifying for UPCET 2025 will be called for counselling and seat allocation. The allocation will be done based on rank/score in the exam.
