UPSC Civil Services Main Exam Time table 2023 Released

The Union Public Service Commission has released the time table of the civil services main exam 2023 or UPSC Civil Services Main Exam Time Table 2023. The exam will begin on January 7 and will be held till January 16. Eligible candidates can check the time table on the official website, upsc.gov.in.

Every year, UPSC would release the schedule for the UPSC Civil Services Main Examination along with the names of candidates who have qualified the Preliminary exam on upsc.gov.in. Candidates who have qualified the preliminary examination are now required to appear for the UPSC CSE Main examination.

UPSC Civils Main Exam Time Table Highlights

  • The UPSC Mains exam will be held in two sessions each day.
  • The morning session will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and the afternoon session will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.
  • Selection to civil services is held through a preliminary exam, main exam and personal interview.
  • Candidates who have qualified in the preliminary exam which was held in October are eligible for the main exam. 
  • Candidates who qualify in the main exam will be called for interview.

UPSC CSE Mains Time Table Details

Before the commencement of the interview, a detailed application form will be sought by the UPSC through which it will ask candidates to indicate order of preferences only for those services participating in the Civil Services Examination for the year, for which the candidate is interested to be allocated to.

UPSC has also released the name wise list of candidates who have qualified the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination. Many candidates have been shortlisted for the main examination. The cut off and marks of the individual candidates would only be released after the final results are declared by UPSC.

Candidates are again informed that they are required to fill the DAF 1 and DAF 2 online on upsconline.nic.in. The window to fill the form would be open as per the schedule. Candidates who fail to register and fill the application form would not be eligible to appear for the main examination.

After the DAF is filled, the commission would duly release the admit card for the UPSC CSE Main examination. Tentatively it is expected to release the admit card in the last week of August on the official website.

UPSC would not send any intimation regarding the same to the candidate’s registered mail id. Candidates are hence advised to keep a check on the official website for latest updates regarding the same. The applications for UPSC CSE 2023 would be released very soon.

UPSC Civil Services (CSE) prelims Details: This year, the UPSC CSE Prelims exam was conducted in October in two parts with Paper-I being conducted in the morning and Paper-II in the afternoon. Nearly 8 lakh candidates appeared for the UPSC Civil Services preliminary examination at various test centres across the country. Further, UPSC announced the CSE Prelims exam results. Also, the commission has released the names of the selected candidates on it official website.

UPSC Civil Services Exam DAF: Moreover, the commission has released a notification inviting candidates who cleared the preliminary exam to fill the Detailed Application Form (DAF). The online window to submit the DAF form will be open from August 1. The candidates can submit the form till August 16 through the official website upsconline.nic.in.
