To apply, candidates must have passed 10+2 or be appearing in 2025. The marks needed in 10+2 are 60 percent aggregate in PCM / PCB.

Candidates with math, physics, and chemistry in 10+2 are eligible for all BTech specialisations. Other combinations apply to BTech Bio-engineering at VIT Bhopal, BTech Biotechnology in VIT Vellore, BTech CS with bioinformatics, and BTech EC with biomedical in VIT Vellore.

The first step towards successful preparation is a thorough analysis of the syllabus. The exam includes maths, physics, chemistry, English, aptitude, and biology.

Thirty-five questions are asked each in physics and chemistry, 40 in mathematics/ biology, 5 in English, and 10 in aptitude. The exam questions are objective in nature, and the candidate will need to mark one option out of the four given.

The language of the question paper will be only English. Each correct answer accounts for one mark, and the exam will have no negative marking. The total duration of the exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.

VITEEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for VITEEE 2025, candidates must have:

  • Passed or appearing for the Class 12 or equivalent exam in 2025
  • Scored at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12 (or equivalent)

VITEEE 2025 Exam Pattern

VITEEE 2025 will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT) for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The exam will consist of 125 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from the following subjects:

The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is inviting applications for VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) for admission into BTech courses.

Admission Process

The candidates will be selected based on the rank secured through an online remote proctored examination. Based on their ranking, these students will be called for online counseling.

Eligible candidates may select a specific campus and programme during counseling. After paying fees, students will be notified about the online/in-person classes.

Selection Criteria

Selection will be based on the rank secured through the CBT (Computer Based Test) VITEEE 2025. Candidates who are chosen can join an online discussion based on their ranking.

They can choose their preferred campus, program, and fee category. Their allocation will depend on how well their rank matches the options available. Those with a rank up to 100,000 can participate in the discussion for the Vellore and Chennai campuses.

Rules for online exam

The applicant must be the sole occupant in the room; the appearance of other faces or persons during the examinations will be considered as malpractice. 

The applicant should use only the system speaker. Wired or wireless audio connections are prohibited. The proctor will perform a 360-degree environment check through primary and secondary devices.

Those taking the test will not be allowed to visit other tabs in browser or use any other system services.  The complete audio/ video streams will be recorded and analyzed during post-examination.

Candidates who qualify in VITEEE 2025 can participate in the counselling process, which will be based on rankings.
