Programme as parallel section within the sanctioned strength of 100 in all the 10 DIETs in the State from the academic year 2022-2023. As such, the existing rules relating to DEECET Examination, Admission of students into Elementary Teacher Training Institutes/ District Institutes of Education and Training (DIET) through Common Entrance Test (#DEECET) Rules, 2013 issued in G.O. 63 Dt: 28.10.2013 and amendments made to the said G.O. need certain amendments.

Programme – Decision of the State Government to introduce the D.El.Ed. Programme in English Medium in DIETs – Amendments to certain existing rules – Constitution of Committee – Request to attend the Meeting – Reg.

It is to inform that the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi has issued NCTE Norms & Regulations, 2014 for the conduct of the Teacher Education Programmes and the State Government has to implement the same. The State Government has also revised the D.El.Ed. Curriculum as per the NCTE Guidelines and the same is under implementation from the academic session 2022-2023.

It is also to inform that the State Government has accorded permission to the Director of School Education, TS to run English Medium D.El.Ed. Programme as parallel section within the sanctioned strength of 100 in all the 10 DIETs in the State from the academic year 2022-2023.
