The All India Council of Technical Education has exciting news for you. AICTE is launching a new scholarship program called Young Achievers Scholarship.
YASHASVI scholarship to encourage students like you to pursue core engineering branches like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, and Chemical.
Why the Focus on Core Engineering?
The engineering field has seen a big shift, with many students opting for computer science and IT-related branches.
This has led to a shortage of skilled professionals in core engineering areas, which are crucial for India’s “Make in India” initiative aimed at making the country a manufacturing hub.
Who can apply?
- Students who have secured admission into the first year of BTech or Diploma programs in the mentioned core engineering branches (CCEM) can apply.
- You’ll need to apply through the National e-Scholarship Portal (NSP).

Young Achievers Scholarship details
- Scholarship Name: Young Achievers Scholarship and Holistic Academic Skills Venture Initiative (YASHASVI)
- Eligibility: This scholarship is open to first-year BTech and Diploma students
- Selection Criteria: Marks obtained in intermediate or equivalent exams.
- Scholarship Amount:
- BTech Students: Rs. 18,000 per year
- Diploma Students: Rs. 12,000 per year
- Number of Scholarships: 5,000 for BTech and 5,000 for Diploma students across India.
How to Apply for AICTE YASASVI Scholarship ?
- Visit the National e-Scholarship Portal: https://scholarships.gov.in/.
- Click on the “Students” tab.
- If you new user, register yourself at this stage.
- After getting OTR and password, you log in at the “Login” section, you’ll find two options: “Fresh” and “Renewal.”
- Choose “Fresh” if you’re a first-time applicant.
- Select the academic year you’re applying for.
- Access your account: You’ll be redirected to your NSP dashboard.
- fill the application form and wait for the approval.
- Once you will be selected, you will receive an SMS.
