CENTRAL WATER COMMISSION (CWC), under Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India, proposes to organize an All India Quiz Competition for School children (6th to 8th Standard) of any recognized schools. The Event would consist of Regional level competition at Regional offices of CWC, located at Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gandhi Nagar, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Nagpur, Patna, Shillong, Siliguri, and NWA, Pune. Subsequently, two selected team from each Region would be invited for the All India event at New Delhi, for which the date shall be informed subsequently.
The participants invited for All India event at New Delhi would be given AC-III (3 Tier) return fare, and arrangements for boarding/ lodging at Delhi shall be made for the participating students and one escort. Further, there would be attractive prizes for the winners, including consolation prizes. Interested recognized schools may fill up the below form for one team consisting of 2 students of Class 6 to 8, who would participate in the Regional event, and if selected, may get the opportunity for All India event in New Delhi.

All India Quiz Competition on Water Resource Government of India, Central Water Commission: Central Water Commission, Ministry of Water Resources, RD &GR, New Delhi is organizing National Level Water Quiz, 2018 in January 2018, at New Delhi. Contest restricted to teams consisting of 2 students studying in class 6-8 in any regular, school of any recognized board in India.
There is no participation fee. The Quiz competition preliminarily rounds (either written, or quiz or both depending on the response received from the participating Schools/ Team) will be held at the 14 Regional centers of the Central Water Commission namely at Delhi, Bhopal, Lucknow, Patna, Bhubaneshwar, Shillong, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Nagpur, Gandhinagar, Bangalore, Siliguri and Chandigarh and also at NWA, Pune. For the preliminary round, the participants have to make their own travel/ boarding/ lodging arrangements.
Winner and runner-up teams (comprises of two participants, from each of the Regional centers) will qualify to participate in Final round to be held in New Delhi. The cost of travel/ boarding/ lodging, including that for one adult per team, shall be borne by the organisers. The winners shall be given attractive cash prizes.
The interested schools can apply in the prescribed form online (cwc.gov.in) or through hard copy by mail to the Organiser, as per the details given below, by 4th Dec, 2017, 1800 Hrs.
The applying schools can choose any of the 14 centres, as per their convenience, while the final round with 2 teams each from each region and NWA, Pune would be held at Delhi.
Only one team per School comprising of two individual students can take part. In case more than one entry is made by one school, then its first entry (in the order of time-stamping) shall only be accepted.
In case the registrations per regional centre is more than the acceptable limits, then the organisers reserve the right to scrutinize the entries based on the academic performance of the proposed teams during last three years.
Last date for registration is 4th December, 2017, 1800 Hrs.
