BSc (Hons) Community Science

Applications are invited for admission into the following U.G. degree courses of Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), Guntur Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2025-23.

The candidates need to download the application form accordingly and the information brochure from the website www.angrau.ac.in; the duly filled-in application, along with enclosures and online payment receipt, should reach REGISTRAR

Candidates must read carefully the information brochure before applying. Only eligible candidates who have applied will be called for counseling. The seats will be allotted during open manual counseling.

Course Name: B.Sc.(Hons) Community Science: for both boys and girls (formerly B.Sc. (Hons) Home Science)

Qualification: A pass in the two-year Intermediate examination (10+2) with Bi. P.C / M.P.C / M.Bi.P.C subjects.

Candidates who passed a three-year Diploma course in Home Science can also apply for admission to a B.Sc. (Hons) Community Science course under 10% of redundant seats.

Age Limit: Candidates for admission to this course in the University shall be required to have completed 17 years of age on the 31st of December of the year of admission, with an upper age limit of 22 years for all candidates, 25 years in respect of SC and ST candidates, and 27 years for Physically Challenged candidates.

Selection Process

The candidates shall be selected based on merit in the optional subjects of the two-year Intermediate Examination, as per the reservation rule.

In case of other equivalent examinations passed by the candidates, the weightage of marks obtained in optional subjects shall be reckoned on par with those of the two-year Intermediate examination.

In case of a tie in aggregate marks obtained by two or more candidates, the marks secured in the Intermediate (10+2) shall be considered.

In case of a further tie, the age of the candidates will be considered, and the older candidates will be given preference for the seat.

For admission into Unreserved quota seats in Andhra Pradesh, candidates from Telangana State will have to compete based on the marks obtained in the Board of Intermediate Education or its equivalent.

The candidates must download the application forms and the information brochure from the website www.angrau.ac.in.

The duly filled-in application, along with enclosures and Demand Draft, should reach REGISTRAR, Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Admn. Camp Office, Vijaya Durga Towers, M.G. Inner Ring Road, Guntur 522 509 A.P. on or before “See below-given date” by  4.00  PM.

Original certificates to be produced at the time of Counseling:

The candidate who secures a seat should submit the following certificates in their original language at the time of joining the college.

• Two conduct certificates, one from the College or School where the candidate last studied and the other from an officer of the State Government or any other respectable person.
• Transfer Certificate from the College or School where the candidate last studied.
• Pass Certificate cum Memorandum of Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination (Intermediate / 3year diploma in Home-science).
• The Community Certificate, signed by the competent authority, is required for candidates belonging to backward classes, scheduled castes, and scheduled tribes.
• Three passport-size photographs.
• An Income Certificate of the father/mother signed by any officer, not below the rank of the Mandal Revenue Officer of the Revenue Department of the Mandal concerned.
• Physical fitness certificate issued by a Govt. Doctor not below the rank of Assistant Civil Surgeon.
