AP National Awards to Teachers, Government of India, MHRD, Department of School Education and Literacy, New Delhi has issued a Circular to all Principal Secretaries / Secretaries(Education) of all the States/UTs and Heads of Organizations for receiving recommendations for Allocation of National Award to Best Teachers 2020 to States/UTs/Organizations-Selection of Best Teachers for National Award.
The MHRD is inviting applications for the National Best Teacher Awards. The last date to apply is July 15. Certificates will be issued to all AP teachers those who were selected by the district and state-level committees in Andhra Pradesh.
AP Teachers who have completed their service by the end of the last academic year and have recently retired can also apply. Interested persons are requested to apply through MHRD websites
The Commissioner of School Education Andhra Pradesh State has issued proceedings for receiving proposals from the teachers in the prescribed proforma for selection of teachers for National Awards for the Year 2019.

All the District Educational Officers in the State are informed that the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi implements the “National Awards to Teachers” scheme every year.
The Government of India has issued guidelines for selection of Teachers for National Award, 2019 cited above The GOI is inviting the proposals every year from the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The GOI has allotted awards under the following categories previously.
Hence, DEOs are requested to submit the proposals in the prescribed proforma for the selection of teachers for National Awards for the year 2015, in duplicate, with due recommendation of District Level Committee. District Educational Officers are instructed to indicate at least Two names of eligible teachers compulsorily under each category mentioned below:
1.Recognized Primary and Secondary school teachers of State/UT /Organisation.
2. Sanskrit Teachers of Sanskrit Patashalas and Tolls run on traditional lines.
3. Arabic /Persian Teacher of Madarsas run on traditional lines.
4. Teachers of CBSE Schools.
5. Teachers of CISCE affiliated Schools.
6. Teaches of CTSA affiliated Schools and
7. Teachers who promote the education of children with disabilities in regular schools by states/UTs/Organisations and other school systems.
i. The District Educational Officers shall inform all the concerned through local newspapers for submitting records for National Awards immediately on receipt of the proceedings of Commissioner of School Education.
ii. The District Educational Officers shall communicate the proforma and guidelines to the concerned Inspector of Police for certification of the antecedent.
iii. In view of the above, it is submitted that all the District Educational Officers in the State are requested to adhere to guidelines of GOI while submitting the proposals for National Awards – 2015, duly filling in all the columns in the proposals, without leaving any scope for further correspondence.
If any of the required particulars are not mentioned clearly, the proposals will be summarily rejected. The citation (Bio-Data and other details) of not more than 1 page should invariably be attached to the proposals.
It should be specifically noted that bulky and voluminous documents with many annexures of photos, press report copies, etc will be summarily rejected. The maximum size with photos, certificates annexures, etc should not exceed 20 pages.
The antecedent certificate and the service particulars shall invariably be scrutinized and signed by the District Educational Officer and countersigned by the District Collector.
iv. 13 parameters scale with 100 points will be followed for scrutiny and shortlisting of various applications received. The proforma is attached at Annexure-II. The final list of recommendations will be submitted to Govt.of A.P. for onwards submission to Govt of India.
(v) The date for interaction with the state-level committee for shortlisted candidates will be informed in due course. AP National Awards to Teachers
Further, all the District Educational Officers in the State should adhere to the schedule in the submission of proposals for National Awards 2015. Submission of a hard copy should be through authorized personnel at Office of the Commissioner of School Education A.P.
The proposals received after end date will not be entertained. If there is no eligible teacher in their District for this purpose in a particular category, a “Nil” report should also be sent to the Commissioner of School Education.
The District Educational Officers are further requested to submit the information in the prescribed proforma. The same information should be uploaded online as a pdf document at www.cse.ap.gov.in (website). A word document of the same should be emailed to mail id firstname.lastname@example.org.
If any of the above particulars are not mentioned clearly, the proposals will be summarily rejected. Therefore, all the District Educational Officers are requested to follow the above orders and submit the proposals as per the dates fixed by this office.
This may be treated as most urgent and top priority should be given to this item of work.
Important dates for National Best Teacher Awards:
- 15 June to 15 July 2020: Opening of web-portal for inviting online self-nomination by teachers.
- 16 July to 23 July 2020: Shortlisting of teachers by District/Regional Selection Committee and forwarding the shortlist to the State/Organization Selection Committee through the online portal.
- 24 July to 31 July 2020: State Selection Committee/ Organization Selection Committee shortlist to be forwarded to Independent National Jury through the online portal.
- 3 August 2020: Intimation to all the shortlisted candidates (154 Max) for selection by Jury through VC or physical interaction as may be decided
- 6 August to 14 August 2020: Selection process by Jury through VC or physical interaction as may be decided
- 14 August 2020: Finalization of names by Independent National Jury
