English Training Programme under KG to PG: English Training Programme, Improve the Teaching Skills in English language, KG to PG English Medium Education 2016-17 in Selected Schools in Warangal, Converting primary schools in English Medium Schools, a 100-day training module for primary school teachers, KG to PG English medium education in Govt Schools
A pilot project for KG to PG English Medium Education in Government Schools would likely to be conducted in certain selected schools in Warangal District in association with English Language Teachers Association/ELTA (A Government School Teacher Organization).
In connection with it, a 100 – day authoritative training module to the teachers of primary schools has been in process by the ELTA team who have visited the English & Foreign Languages University, on 12th or 13th December 2015. As per the instructions of the District Collector, Warangal, A training program to be conducted to all the Teachers working in Primary & Upper Primary Schools under the Management of Mandal Parishad and Government to Improve the Teaching Skills in the English language. Warangal District Collector has sent the “English Training Programme” Details to the Principal Secretary, Department of Education, Government of Telangana for Conducting English Training to Teachers working in Primary and Upper Primary Schools under the Management of Mandal Parishad and Government to enhance their English Language skills as a part of KG to PG English Medium Education.
Train the teachers of Primary Schools in the English Language:
As a part of the Gram Jyothi program and their representations of the parent’s community for implementing English Medium Education in Primary Schools.
As there is a demand for English Medium in Government Primary and Mandal Parishad Primary & Upper Primary Schools in the District, it is proposed to train the teachers of Primary Schools in the English Language so that they will be equipped with all language skills and ability to teach in English medium from the Academic Year 2016-17 to the students of Primary sections.
As a part of this training program, 2000 Primary Teachers from all 51 Mandals of the District will be trained by 102 Resource persons who are selected English Language Teachers of High Schools and also members of ELTA (English Language Teachers Association), Warangal. It is also proposed that 102 Resource persons will attend a one-week training program in December II week under the guidance of EFLU and recognized English Language Training Centers.
Six Months Training Programme:
The tentative period proposed for training is Six months i.e., from December 2015 to May 2016. The proposed training program will be beneficial in implementing KG to PG English Medium Education in 2016-17 to reduce the dropout rate.
Converting primary schools in English Medium Schools:
Proposed English Training programme is 6 months programme aimed at equipping English Teachers with all the language skills and will go a long way in converting primary schools in English Medium Schools.
