How to apply for FCI Recruitment 2020 (JE, Steno, Typist, Asst. Grade Posts): Food Corporation of India has invited application for the recruitment of 4103 posts from February 28, 2020. The last date to apply is March 25. Candidates can apply online at fci.gov.in.

The posts under FCI Recruitment include junior engineers, stenographers, typist and assistant posts and AG in different zones including north, south, east, west, and north-east. Approximate 10% of the vacancies are reserved for EWS- economically weaker sections. EWS vacancies are tentative and subject to further directives of GoI and outcome of any litigation,” reads the FCI official notice.

The registration process of the recruitment in Food Corporation of India (FCI) for 4,103 posts will be concluded soon on the official website. Candidates can apply for several posts including Junior Engineer (JE) at the official website of FCI at fci.gov.in till March 30, i.e. till this Saturday. FCI, the Public Sector Undertaking major, proposes to fill vacancies in Junior Engineers, Stenographers, Typist, and Assistant posts. According to the FCI recruitment application procedure, interested candidates have to apply on the official website zone-wise. 

The selection procedure for the recruitment will be on the basis of online test and skill test.  The final merit list will be released after the documents are verified.

FCI recruitment 2020: Which zones you should be applying
For applying zone-wise, the applicants should be aware of the states come under various zones. Here is a break-up of various zones: How to apply for FCI Recruitment

a. North Zone: Delhi, Haryana, Punjab Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Union Territory of Chandigarh.
b. South Zone: Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Union Territory of Lakshadweep and Union Territory of Puducherry.
c. East Zone: Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim.
d. West Zone: Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Union Territory of Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Goa.
e. North Eastern Zone: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Meghalaya.

FCI recruitment 2020: Educational Qualification
The candidates who are interested to apply for these vacancies may check the qualification details here:

1. Junior Engineer (Civil): Candidates with a degree in Civil engineering or Diploma in Civil engineering with one year experience are eligible for the post.
2. Junior Engineer (Electrical Mechanical): Candidates with a degree in Electrical engineering or mechanical engineering or diploma in electrical/ mechanical engineering with one year experience are eligible for the post.

3. Stenographer Grade 2: Graduates with ‘O’ level qualification of DOEACC and speed of 40 words per minute and 80 words per minute in typing and shorthand, respectively are eligible for the post. Candidates with a degree in computer science/computer application with a speed of 40 words per minute and 80 words per minute in typing and shorthand, respectively can also apply.

4. Assistant Grade 2 (Hindi): Graduates with Hindi as the main subject having proficiency in English and one year experience of translating from English to Hindi and vice-versa are eligible for the post. Candidates with post-graduation in Hindi can also apply.
5. Typist (Hindi): Graduates with Hindi typing speed of 30 words per minute are eligible for the post. “Preference will be given to the candidates knowing bilingual typing (English and Hindi) and Computer knowledge,” reads the notice.

6. Assistant Grade 3 (General): Candidates with Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with proficiency in the use of computers can apply.
7. Assistant Grade 3 (Accounts): Candidates with Bachelor of Commerce from a recognized University with proficiency in the use of computers can apply.

8. Assistant Grade 3 (Technical): Candidates with B.Sc. in Agriculture/ Botany / Zoology / Bio-Technology/Bio-Chemistry/ Microbiology / Food Science or B. Tech / BE in Food Science/Food Science and Technology/Agricultural Engineering / Bio-Technology are eligible to apply. Candidates must have proficiency in computer usage.
9. Assistant Grade 3 (Depot): Candidates with a Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with proficiency in the use of computers are eligible to apply.

The Food Corporation of India (FCI) began the recruitment process for 4103 posts. Candidates can apply at the official website of FCI at fci.gov.in till March 30. FCI Recruitment 2020: Zone Details
North Zone: Delhi, Haryana, Punjab Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Union Territory of Chandigarh

A candidate can apply to anyone of the zones. “If it is found at any stage that a candidate has applied for two or more Zones the candidature shall be summarily canceled. In case of multiple applications, even within a Zone, the candidature shall be summarily canceled,” reads the FCI Job notice.

388 vacancies are reserved for the EWS category under the 10 percent reservation quota introduced recently. “EWS vacancies are tentative and subject to further directives of GoI and outcome of any litigation,” reads the FIC notice

Eligibility:
Junior engineer: For the post of junior engineer, candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering with one year experience. Degree in Electrical Engineering Or Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering Or Mechanical Engineering with one year experience in the case of Diploma holders only.

For Stenographer: Graduate along with O‘ level qualification of DOEACC and speed of 40 w.p.m. and 80 w.p.m. in typing and shorthand respectively or Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application with the speed of 40 w.p.m. and 80 w.p.m. in typing and shorthand respectively.

How to apply for FCI Recruitment:

Step 1: Visit the FCI website (www.fci.gov.in) and click on the option “APPLY ONLINE”
Step 2: Choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter Name, Contact details, and Email-id. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. The candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent.

Step 3: In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he/she can save the data already entered by choosing the “SAVE AND NEXT” tab. Prior to submission of the online application, candidates are advised to use the “SAVE AND NEXT” facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. Visually Impaired candidates should fill the application form carefully and verify/ get the details verified to ensure that the same are correct prior to final submission.

Step 4: Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the FINAL SUBMIT BUTTON.
Step 5: The Name of the candidate or his /her Father/ Husband etc. should be spelled correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets/Identity proof. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.

Step 6: Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the ‘Validate your details’ and ‘Save & Next’ button.
Step 7: Candidates can proceed to upload Photo & Signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature detailed under point “C”.
Step 8: Candidates can proceed to fill other details of the Application Form.
Step 9: Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before FINAL SUBMIT.
Step 10: Modify details, if required, and click on ‘FINAL SUBMIT’ ONLY after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details filled by you are correct.
Step 11: Click on ‘Payment’ Tab and proceed for payment.
Step 12: Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
