This time, admissions will be given to students based on an entrance examination. Moreover, the official statement reads that students applying for admission to Class 11 in JNV should meet the age eligibility criteria.

The candidates’ dates of birth should be as per the JNV Class 11 admission guidelines, which means that students must be born between June 1, 2006, and May 31, 2008, in order to apply.  

Navodaya Class 11 Admission Notification

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, NVS has issued the “Navodaya Class 11 Admission” notification, and Online applications are invited from eligible and interested students for admission to 11th Class admissions against the vacant seats likely to be available in JNVs during the academic year 2025-26.

Lateral Entry Selection Test for admission to Class 11 in JNVs against the vacant seats, likely to be available in JNVs for the academic session 2025-26 will be held at 11.00 A.M.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, which are set up to provide the highest standard education to intelligent students in rural areas, are overseen by a set of Navodaya Vidyalayas, an independent body set up under the Central Ministry of Human Resources.

Applications are being sought to fill the eleventh-class restricted seats under lateral entry. Opportunity to study in Navodaya Vidyalayas from class six to twelve. These schools are affiliated to the CBSE. In the tenth and twelfth grades, the results are coming in at more than 98 percent per annum. They are implementing a trilingual approach.

NVS Class 11 Admission Registration 2025 Details

Eligibility for NVS Class 11 Admission:

• The candidate’s date of Birth is to be between 1 June 2006 and 31 May 2008 (both days inclusive).
• This applies to all categories of candidates including those who belong to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
• The candidate must have passed Class X from a recognized school

Admissions Procedure for JNV Class 11 Admission:

• The selection of students for admission will be made based on the vacant seats likely to be available in JNVs in Class-XI for the academic session 2025-26.
• After admitting the students who studied Class-X in JNVs during the session 2022-23, Vacant seats in Class-XI will be filled through the lateral entry test, subject to the availability of accommodation in the JNV concerned.
• The vacant seats in Rural/Girl/SC/ST/Divyang category will be filled by the respective category candidates. If qualified candidates are unavailable, vacant seats will be filled as per NVS norms.
• After the conduct of the selection test, the provisional selection of students will be made as per the following steps:
• a) District-wise merit list will be prepared, and students will be provisionally selected against the vacancies.
• The twin conditions of residence and study of Class-X from the district concerned only will be considered under the district-wise merit list for filling up vacant seats.
• b) After selecting students against the vacancies in the JNV of the district, a common merit list will be prepared at State level.
• After step a), the vacancies existing in any of the JNVs of the same State will be filled from the state-level merit list by considering merit and as per the option exercised by the candidate.
• c) Candidates from one state are not eligible for admission in another state.
• Qualified candidates are provisionally selected for class XI admission in JNVs based on merit, categories, vacancies in the opted JNV, and streams as per selection criteria.
• If selected for a JNV and a stream, against vacancies, change of JNV / stream will not be entertained.
• NVS reserves the right to decide whether to fill vacancies in any JNV / Stream, if any, by considering the administrative exigencies, including the accommodation available in the JNV concerned.
• The Principal of the concerned JNV will inform the selected students by SMS/Speed post.
• Newly admitted students have to undergo medical check-ups by the Vidyalaya Doctor and provide a medical certificate.
• Students suffering from infectious diseases/severe ailments shall not be admitted.
• A ten-day orientation programme will be arranged for newly admitted students to bridge the learning gaps and adapt them to the new environment.

While education in the schools is free, including boarding, lodging, uniforms, and textbooks, a nominal fee is collected from the students of Classes IX to XII only as per NVS policy.
