IBPS PO Recruitment 2023, Apply for Probationary Officer Posts at ibps.in

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, IBPS has released the notification for IBPS PO 2023 recruitment examination on ibps.in. Candidates who aspire to take up probationary officer jobs in various national banks are required to appear for the IBPC PO Exam 2023. 

IBPS is likely to release the Officers Scale-I (PO), Office Assistant – Multipurpose (Clerk) and Officers Scale II & III recruitment exam notification in the first or second week of June on the official website of the Institute ibps.in. Candidates who wish to apply for IBPS PO/Clerk recruitment exam are advised to keep checking the official website for the latest updates.

The online preliminary examination will be tentatively held between December 4 and 11. Those who clear the prelims will be called for the mains exam that is scheduled to be held on January 2023. The final round which is the interview will be held between February and March 2022 following which the provisional allotment will be released on April 20223*

The recruitment includes a preliminary and main examination followed by an interview. As per the calendar available on ibps.in. IBPS PO 2023 Notification will be released very soon on its web portal. The institute usually provides a window of 20 days for candidates to fill the online application forms. The admit cards are released about three weeks ahead of the examination.

IBPS Probationary Officer Details
  • The online examination will be conducted in two phases – Online Preliminary and Online Main.
  • The preliminary and main exams are scheduled in the month of October and November 2022.
  • The online registration including edit and modification of application by candidates will begin on August 2, 2022 and the process will be concluded on August 22, 2022.
  • To be eligible to apply, candidates must be in the age group of 20 to 30 years of age. Upper age limit is relaxed for reserved category candidates.
  • For educational qualifications, Candidates must possess a degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
  • The application fee is Rs.850 for unreserved category candidates and Rs.175 for SC/ST/PWBD category candidates.
  • The preliminary exam will be conducted for a duration of 1 hour and will be of 100 marks. The main examination will be of 225 marks and will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours 30 minutes.
  • The participating banks are- Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, UCO Bank, Union Bank of India, Bank of India and Bank of Maharashtra.
  • Candidates shortlisted in the preliminary exam will appear for the main exam.
  • The Main exam is scheduled to be held in the month of November and the result is scheduled to be declared in December 2022.
  • According to the notification, the interview and provisional allotment is scheduled to be conducted in the months of January and February, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a degree (graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

Age Limit: Candidate must be between 20 to 30 years of age. For an SC/ST candidate, there’s an age relaxation of 5 years in maximum age limit, while for OBC applicants the maximum age relaxation is 3 years. However, the physically challenged has an upper age relaxation of 10 years suggesting that the maximum age limit candidates is 40 years

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Preliminary exam, main exam, and interview. The preliminary exam will be conducted for 1 hour and the main examination duration is for 3 hours. The preliminary exam will comprise of 100 marks and the Main examination will comprise of 200 marks.

Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Online Main examination for CRP- PO/MT-VIII will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at select centers.

Application Fee: Candidates who want to apply for the examination will have to pay Rs.850/- as application fees if belonging to other categories and Rs.175/- if belonging to SC/ST/PWD category. Candidates should make the payment of requisite fees/ intimation charges through the ONLINE mode.
