IBPS has released its notification for recruitment to the post of Clerical Cadre. Candidates interested in applying for this can do so at the official site- ibps.in. This year there are a total of 7855 posts. According to the notification released, this year candidates will be selected through Common Recruitment Process, CRP.

The preliminary exam for selection of clerks in nationalised banks will be done by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) in December. The recruitment of clerk in banks is done on the basis of state and union territory. After the application forms are released, candidates are given a deadline to fill and submit the forms along with the exam fee. The admit cards for the exam are released weeks before the exam. Selection to IBPS clerk is through a preliminary exam and a main exam. No interview is held for selection to this post.

Candidates are selected through two-stage objective type exams to be conducted through online mode. The first tier (preliminary) exam is a eligibility test. The Final Selections will be based on the marks scored by the candidates in the second tier (Mains).

Qualification: Any Degree. Candidates must be a graduate in any discipline (or have an equivalent degree) from a recognized University.
Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in computer operations/ Language/ should have studied Computer/ Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/ College/ Institute.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Online Examination (Preliminary and Main).
Apply mode: Online. Candidates can apply online only and no other mode of application will be accepted. Candidates are first required to go to the IBPS’s website www.ibps.in and click on the Home Page to open the link “CRP Clerks” and then click on the option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP- Clerks (CRP-ClerksIX)” to open the On-Line Application Form.
Candidates will have to click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” to register their application by entering their basic information in the online application form. After that a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen.
Candidate should note down the Provisional registration number and password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent. They can reopen the saved data using Provisional registration number and password and edit the particulars, if needed.

Candidates are advised to carefully fill in the online application themselves as no change in any of the data filled in the online application will be possible/ entertained. Prior to submission of the online application candidates are advised to use the “SAVE AND NEXT” facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required.
No change is permitted after clicking on FINAL SUBMIT Button. Visually Impaired candidates are responsible for carefully verifying/getting the details filled in, in the online application form properly verified and ensuring that the same are correct prior to submission as no change is possible after submission.
The candidate should indicate in the online application the state to which he/she opts for provisional allotment on selection. The option once exercised will be irrevocable.
