The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released a notification for Common Recruitment Process for Recruitment of Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) – CRP RRBs IX.
The online examinations for the next Common Recruitment Process for RRBs (CRP RRBs IX) for recruitment of Group “A” – Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B” – Office Assistant (Multipurpose) will be conducted by the IBPS tentatively in September and October/November 2020.
IBPS RRB 2020 apply for 9638 banking jobs-RRB PO, Clerk application close on July 21 on ibps.in. IBPS would close the application process for IBPS RRB 2020 PO & Clerks on July 21, 2020. Those candidates who had not applied till now can go to the official site of IBPS at ibps.in.
This year the total number of posts for which the exam would be conducted are 9638. An online examination is to be conducted for the recruitment of Group ‘A’ which are the Officers (Scale-I, II & III) posts and Group ‘B’ which happens to be the Office Assistant (Multipurpose) posts.
In the notification released it has been mentioned, “The interviews for recruitment of Group “A”- Officers (Scale-I, II & III) under the same process will be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with appropriate authority tentatively in the month of November 2020.
IBPS RRB 2020 Fee Details: The candidates must note that the last date of fee payment is also July 21, 2020, however, the forms can be downloaded till August 5, 2020. The application fees for the general category candidates is INR 850/- for Officer Scale I, II, and III and Office Assistant. In case the candidate belongs to SC/ST/PWBD category the fee is INR 180 for the form.
IBPS RRB 2020 Eligibility Details:
- Office Assistant (Multipurpose) – Between 18 years and 28 years – Born between July 1992 to July 2002.
- Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager) – Above 21 years – Below 40 years- Not born after June 30, 1999, and July 1, 1980
- Officer Scale-II (Manager)- Above 21 years – Below 32 years – candidates should not have been born earlier than July 3, 1988 and later than June 30, 1999
- Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager) – Above 18 years – Below 30 years- No born before July 1990 and not after July 2002.

In 2017-18, over one crore candidates registered for different banking exams in IBPS. IBPS is known for managing online tests with transparency. 71 lakh registered in 2008-09 and 1.09 crore registered in 2018-19 IBBS track.
What does IBPS do? Undertakes many projects and. mainly recruitment should be done among these. The recruitment process would be done in Public Sector Banks, Cooperative Banks, Private Banks, Central Financial Institutions, Other Financial Institutions, Regional Rural Banks and Insurance Companies.
IBPS conducts exams in 600-650 sessions annually. The IBPS Faculty manufactures test batteries specifically for all sessions each year. Approximately one lakh items are manufactured each year. This is a very big task.

The details of posts under RRB Officer Scale I, II and III as well as RRB Office Assistant are provided below. Candidates interested in applying for RRB Officer Scale and Office Assistant posts can apply online from June 1 on ibps.in.
Candidates are informed that only online applications would be accepted. Also, candidates applying for Office Assistant are also eligible to apply for Officer Scale I, II or III positions. IBPS RRB 2020 online application forms will be accepted from July 1. Officer Scale and Office Assistant posts would be filled by means of IBPS RRB Exam 2020. The online applications are available on ibps.in till July 21, 2020. RRB or Regional Rural Banks are distributed across the country.
Recruitment at Clerical level or office Assistant and Officer level or Officer Scale I, II and III would be done on the recruitment process under the IBPS RRB Exam 2020. The Selection process for IBPS RRB Office Assistant and IBPS RRB Officer Scale I include a preliminary examination followed by the main examination. For IBPS RRB Officer Scale-II and III, the admission process includes only a single level examination which is conducted alongside IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Main examinations.
Candidates interested in banking jobs are advised to go through the official notification and fill the online application forms at the earliest. Only online application forms would be accepted. Candidates are also required to pay the fee online to complete the online application process.
The IBPS RRB Officer Scale Prelims 2020 are scheduled in September/October 2020. The Prelims for IBPS RRB Office Assistant would be conducted in September/October 2020. Eligible candidates who are interested to join any of the Regional Rural Banks as a Group A-Officer/Group B-Office Assistant are required to register for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP for RRBs-IX).

IBPS RRB 2020: Important Points
- This is the ninth edition of the RRB recruitment process that is being conducted by IBPS.
- This is the 2nd IBPS RRB recruitment to have implemented the EWS quota.
- Registration window will be active till July 1.
- Candidates have to register at ibps.in.
- The prelims will be held in September/October 2020. Admit cards will be issued to the candidates, who have successfully registered for the exam, beforehand.
- Online application accompanied by payment of application fee will complete the registration process. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets by providing information as asked on the screen.
- “Candidates are advised to apply for only one post i.e. Scale-I, II and III in Officers’ cadre. The applications of candidates applying for more than one post in Officers’ cadre will be summarily rejected,” reads the official notification.
- The interview will be a part of the selection process for Officers post only.
IBPS RRB Officers and Office Assistant Eligibility Criteria:
Indian Citizens who have completed their graduation can apply for the various posts. The age limit for different posts, however, is different. Age limit for general category candidates is provided here. Relaxation in upper age limit as per GOI norms is applicable. Age limits are calculated as on June 1, 2020.
Office Assistant: 18 to 28 years
Officer Scale I (Assistant Manager Position): 18 to 30 years
Officer Scale-II (Manager): 21 to 32 years
Officer Scale III (Senior Manager): 21 to 40 years
Also, the basic educational qualification for Officer Scale posts varies according to the posts applied for. Candidates are advised to go through the detailed notification for the same.
Candidates will be selected based on Online examination (Preliminary & Main) for Officers Scale I & Office Assistants (Multi-purpose), Common interview for Officers Scale I, single online examination & Common interview for Officers Scale II (Generalist and Specialists) & Scale III.
For the posts of Officers Scale I and Office Assistant (Multi-purpose) the examination will be two tier i.e. the Online Examination will be held in two phases, Preliminary and Main. For the post of Office Assistant (Multi-purpose), candidates who will qualify in Preliminary Examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Main Examination. They will be provisionally allotted on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the Main Examination and the vacancies reported by the RRBs.
For the post of Officers Scale I, candidates who will qualify in Preliminary Examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Main Examination and shortlisted candidates in the Main Examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with appropriate authority.
For the post of Scale II (Generalist and Specialists) and Scale III, candidates will appear for Single Online Examination and shortlisted candidates in the Single Online Examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority.
