IGNOU Re-Registration 2025, How to Apply Online for PG, UG, Diploma Course admissions. Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has commenced the re-registration process for the IGNOU session on its official website, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

Candidates can do so on the official website ignou.samarth.edu.in or through student portal on ignou.ac.in.

All those candidates who had applied are required to complete the course payment by means of re-registration. Candidates are also required to pay the pending fee online during the re-registration process.

Students can register online for admission to different undergraduate, postgraduate degree programmes, postgraduate certificate (PG certificate), postgraduate diploma (PGD), certificate and diploma programmes for the July 2023 session at onlinerr.ignou.ac.in.

According to the official notification, “re-registration means registering for next year/semester of a programme.” So the re-registration process is only for those candidates who have registered in the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of two and three years.

All students are advise to keep a check on the official website ignou.ac.in for latest update regarding the on-going course and deadline. Any update, once available, would also be made available on this page. 

The documents required for applying include scanned copy of the photograph, age proof, educational qualification, experience certificate, category certificate, and BPL certificate, if below the poverty line.

Steps to complete the IGNOU Re-Registration

  • Go to the official website, onlinerr.ignou.ac.in
  • On the homepage, scroll down and click the “Proceed for Re-registration” button.
  • Select the “New Registration” option and provide the necessary details. If you are already registered, log in using your username and password.
  • Choose your courses carefully.
  • Fill up the form and complete the fee payment process.
  • Take a printout of the confirmation for future reference.

Note: Re-registration means registering for next year/semester of a programme. So it is applicable only to students enrolled in undergraduate/postgraduate programmes of two-three year duration.

You can re-register for the next year/semester of your Programme irrespective of whether you have submitted the assignments or appeared in the term-end examination of the previous semester. Please go through the related rules carefully.

Candidates should submit the required number of assignments of their courses by the due date to be eligible to appear for the examination. Candidates should also pay the examination fee for all the courses that they are appearing in the examination.
