IGNOU Admissions 2020 notification released on its official website for Degree, PG, Diploma, Certificates Courses in Open University. Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started the online application process for 2020.
Students who are interested in pursuing any of the 173 programmes offered by the university from the official website.
Latest Update: IGNOU is giving the students time till December 31 to submit their relevant documents failing which their admission will stand cancelled.
All applicants who are provided Provisional Admissions would be required to submit the pass certificate of the qualifying examination latest by 31st December 2020, failing which their admission shall be cancelled and the fee shall be refunded as per rules.
Applicants of Programmes for which eligibility requirement for admission is a Bachelor degree, have passed the 2nd year/5th semester of the Bachelor Degree and submitted the marks sheet in support of it.
Indira Gandhi National Open University has extended the last date to register for IGNOU Admission 2020 till October 15, 2020. Candidates who want to apply for the July session can visit the official site of IGNOU at ignou.ac.in. The registration process was started on June 1, 2020.
The online program exam date would be conducted in January/ February 2021. The last date has been extended for degree courses only. Other courses the last date have not been extended. Candidates who want to apply for the July session can follow these simple steps given below.
The academic session for the bachelors, masters and science stream courses in science, social science, humanities and management begins in January for the academic year of 2019-2020.

Update: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline to apply for admission and re-registration for July session, utpo October 15. Earlier, the last date to apply was July 31. Students who have not yet registered can do it online at ignou.ac.in.

Indira Gandhi National Open University, or IGNOU, has announced the admission to its academic programmes offered through ODL mode for the July 2020 academic session on its official website.
The programmes on offer include Master’s degrees, Bachelor’s degrees, PG diploma and diploma, PG certificate and certificate programmes, and Appreciation/Awareness level programmes.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the programmes online at ignou.ac.in on or before October 15, 2020.

Apply for the IGNOU July 2020 admissions:
- Visit the official page of IGNOU Admissions 2020 – onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in
- On the homepage, you will find “Register yourself” link, click on the link and submit the required details
- Note down the enrollment number for future reference. It will be your username for future login
- In case you have already registered, then log in using your username and password
- Now, select the program and enter all the details as asked in the application form
- Cross-check the details entered and click on submit button
- Pay the application fee and program fee
- Note down the reference slip
Those aspirants who are interested to apply for the courses must submit the form on the official website of the university, ignou.ac.in.
Admission shall be done on the basis of the score obtained in the entrance test conducted by IGNOU all over India. The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme is offered in English and Hindi medium. The minimum duration of the programme is two years. However, the maximum period allowed for completion of the programme is five years.

ELIGIBILITY: The candidates should have at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity. Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto.
Only those candidates whose results are declared and qualified at the time of submitting the entrance cum application form are eligible. Along with other requisite certificates, a candidate should also submit Marksheet and Certificate of completion of a teacher education programme through face-to-face mode duly recognized by NCTE.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has begun admissions for its Bachelor Preparatory Programme, PG diploma, diploma and certificate programmes for Januar session. BPP is a non-formal channel to be eligible for a BA (bachelor of arts), B.Com (bachelor of commerce), bachelor in social work and bachelor in tourism studies of the university.
The university’s tie-up with the ministry of electronics and information technology gave students access to the ( Common Service Centres) CSCs, which function as delivery points for social welfare schemes, health care and education services in rural areas to ensure social, financial and digital inclusion. IGNOU has also invited applications from candidates for Ph D and M Phil programmes (regular mode).

The university invited admission for 136 programmes in online mode and 11 programmes in offline mode. The programme is available in nine regional languages – English, Oriya, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam and Gujarati. Its duration is minimum six months and maximum of two years.
Courses such as B.Com (A&F), B.Com (CA&A), MA (Education), M.Com (BP&CG), MBA (Banking and Finance) and MBA are offered offline by the university.
Admissions to the certificate programmes of the university offered through the common prospectus have ended. IGNOU also offers B.Com (A&F) and M.Com (F&T), B.Com (CA &A) and M.Com (BP & CG), B.Com (F &CA) and M.Com (MA & FS) in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accounts of India (ICAI), Institute of Company Secretaries of India and Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
“Performing and visual arts, inter and trans-disciplinary studies, translation, engineering and technology, extension and development studies, foreign languages, journalism and new media studies and vocational education and training are some of the other disciplines available for interested students,” the university said in a notice.
“The programme is meant for those students who do not have the essential qualifications of 10+2. In the absence of such a qualifying certificate, these students are deprived of higher education. BPP has been designed to meet this gap for which no prior formal education is required,
IGNOU course on spiritualism:
The inauguration for the course is likely to take place at the Akshardham Research Centre that is on the premises of the temple in Delhi. The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is considering establishing a Swami Narayan Chair in its campus and launch value education and spiritualism programmes by January 2020. Prof. Ravindra Kumar, Vice Chancellor, IGNOU, announced this during a meeting with the representatives of the Swami Narayan sansthan recently, a press release from the university states.
The press release quotes one of the representatives from the spiritual group as saying: “We look forward to teach today’s generation the rich culture and values of India. We aim to bring into their notice that education is not only studying engineering, medical, commerce, philosophy etc., but its connotations are wide. Around 60,000 students per year undergo our examination but with no certification. Around 22,000 students are associated with us from USA, England and Africa with all our curriculum online.” “We are not a regular college, but still it has a curriculum and examination system,” he added.
Recently, the university launched 11 free online MOOC courses out of which two a certificate course in Russian and a certificate course in e-learning are already functional.
