India Post released the results of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) recruitment for Assam (919 Posts), Odisha (Cycle III – 2060 Posts) and Madhya Pradesh (2834 Posts) on its official website.

Candidates who have applied for the GDS recruitment for above-mentioned circles can visit the official website of India Post – appost.in – to check and download the result.

The names of selected candidates are available on the official recruitment portal, ‘appost.in’. The final selection of shortlisted candidates is subject to verification of original certificates and acceptance by the respective Recruiting Authority.

Candidates have been selected for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) on the basis of merit in class 10 board exam. No weightage was given to any higher educational qualification.

Candidates who have been selected for the post of GDS Branch Postmaster (BPM) are required to provide accommodation for Branch post office after selection but before engagement.

Meanwhile, India Post is in the process of accepting applications for GDS recruitment in the Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttarakhand circles. For Haryana circle, India Post has announced 608 posts, 2834 posts for Madhya Pradesh circle, and 724 posts for Uttarakhand circle.

India Post, also, recently released the result for Maharashtra circle for which it had announced 3650 vacant posts.

India Post is also in the process of preparing result for West Bengal Cycle II GDS recruitment for which 2021 posts were notified and for Assam circle for which 919 posts were notified.

Earlier, India Post has already declared the results for other circles including Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal. India Post is yet to declare the results for Maharashtra circle recruitment that was conducted for 3650 vacancies.

  1. First of all, candidates are required to go to the official website of India Post office @ www.indiapost.gov.in.
  2. When they are at the home page of Indian Postal circle they have to locate the Gramin Dak Sevak *Result 2020 at the middle of the page in “current notification” section.
  3. Click on that and a new window will appear containing all circles result list.
  4. Click on your circle’s GDS result and a new pop-up window will appear and that will prompt you to *download the PDF file. Download it on your local drive.
  5. That PDF file will contain all successful candidates list for that circle.
  6. Look for your registration number or Name. If it is present there then your are provisionally selected.
  7. Wait for the next instruction from the Indian Postal Circle Authority.

Important points regarding Gramin Dak Sevak Result 2020: As there is no written examination and selection will be based on merit list so candidates are requested keep these following points in mind:

FURNISHING OF SECURITY: Candidates who are applying for the post shall furnish security deposit of Rs. 25,000/- for his/her engagement for the post of BPM and Rs. 10,000/- for the other categories. This security deposit will be in the form of Fidelity Guarantee bond or National Savings Certificate which needs to be pledged to the Department of Posts in the name of the India current president.

Candidates who will be selected for the post of BPM has to arrange the accommodation within 30 days near the branch office village and notify the authority. The candidate has to bear the Accommodation fee.
