The India Post Rajasthan Postal Circle Department has released a notification for the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) vacancies in various divisions. The candidates who are interested in applying for the Rajasthan Postal Circle GDS vacancies.
India Post has invited online applications for the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevak. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the posts online at appost.in on or before the end date.
India Post conducted the recruitment drive to fill notified vacancies for GDS in below-mentioned circles. The online registration process started as per the schedule.
An applicant should be between 18 to 40 years old as on cut of date. The upper age limit will be five years for SC/ST, three years for OBC, and 10 years for disabled candidates.

Present GDS Vacancies:
- Jammu and Kashmir circle: 442 posts
- Rajasthan Postal Circle: 3262 posts
- Uttrakhand, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh circle: 4166 posts
- 2834 vacancies are for MP Postal Circle,
- 724 for Uttrakhand Postal Circle, and
- remaining 608 for Haryana Postal Circle.
A candidate should be between 18 to 40 years old as on March 23, 2020. The upper age limit will be five years for SC, three years for OBC, and 10 years for disabled candidates. The minimum and maximum age for engagement to GDS posts should be 18 and 40 years respectively as on the date of notification of the vacancies.
A candidate should have passed class 10 from any recognized board of school education. Candidates who have passed the class 10 boards in the first attempt will be given preferences.
A candidate must have knowledge of the Hindi language.
A candidate should be able to furnish 60 days of the basic computer training certificate from any Computer Training Institute run by Central/State Government /Universities / Boards / Private Institutions. However, the requirement of a basic computer knowledge certificate shall be relaxed if a candidate has studied computer as a subject in matriculation or class 12th or at any other higher educational level.
Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA):
The following Minimum TRCA will be payable to the categories of GDS.

Branch Post Master: The Job Profile of Branch Post Master will include managing affairs of GDS Branch Post Office, India Posts Payments Bank (IPPB) and ensuring uninterrupted counter operation during the prescribed working hours using the handheld device/Smartphone supplied by the Department.
Assistant Branch Post Master: The Job Profile of Assistant Branch Post Master will include all functions of sale of stamps/stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail at doorstep deposits/payments/other transactions under IPPB, assisting Branch Postmasters in counter duties using the handheld device/Smartphone supplied by the Department.
Dak Sevaks: The Job Profile of Dak Sevaks will include all functions of viz sale of stamps and stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail and any other duties assigned by Postmaster/Sub Postmaster including IPPB work in the Departmental Post Offices/RMS.

Selection will be made as per the automatically generated merit list as per the rules based on the candidates online submitted applications. No weightage will be given for higher educational qualification. Only marks obtained in 10th standard of approved Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals will be the criteria for finalizing the selection.
The applicant of category OC/OBC/EWS male should pay a fee of Rs. 100/- ( Rupees one hundred) for each set of five options. A candidate who requires to make the payment has to visit any Head Post Office or other identified Post Offices In India. Names of the offices are available in the website http://appost.in/gdsonline.

How to Apply for India Post GDS Gramin Dak Sevak Posts Recruitment-2020:
The only online application will be accepted from the candidate. A candidate who desires to apply online will have to register himself/herself in the portal through https://indiapost.gov.in or http://appost.in/gdsonline with effect from November 1,-2020 to November 30,-2020 with the following basic details to obtain the Registration Number:
i) Name (In capital letter as per X class certificate Marks Memo including spaces)
ii) Father Name
iii) Mobile Number (Unique for one Registration number)
iv) Date of Birth
vii) PH – Type of Disability – (HH/OH/VH)- Percentage of disability
viii) State in which X class passed
ix) Board in which X class passed
x) Year of Passing X class
xi) X Class Certificate Number / Roll Number (optional).
Only one Registration is allowed for one candidate. The same registration number should be used for submission of applications during the cycle to any of the circles. Mobile number mapping is mandatory for Registration. Once Registered the same mobile number will not be allowed for further Registrations of any other candidates also.
