And engagement to the following posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks – Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak for various postal circles.
India Post Office has invited online applications for the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) on its official website. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the positions online at appost.in.
The India Post has notified 3,446 vacancies in gramin dak sevak (GDS) post in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana postal circles. The GDS profile includes branch postmaster, assistant branch postmaster and dak sevak. Application forms are available on the website on the India Post. Those applying to postman and mail guard post should be between 18-27 years of age and those applying for multi-tasking staff post should be between 18-25 years of age.
The minimum educational qualification required for postman, mail guard post is Class 12 pass and it is Class 10 pass for multi-tasking staff post.
For the postman post, candidates have to obtain a driving license to drive two wheeler or three wheeler or light motor vehicle within a period of two years from the date of appointment. However, persons with disability shall be exempted from the requirement of driving license.

The India Post Rajasthan Postal Circle Department has released a notification for the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) vacancies in various divisions. The candidates who are interested in applying for the Rajasthan Postal Circle GDS vacancies.

Present GDS Vacancies:
Age limit: A candidate should be between 18 to 40 years old as on March 23, 2020. The upper age limit will be five years for SC, three years for OBC, and 10 years for disabled candidates. The minimum and maximum age for engagement to GDS posts should be 18 and 40 years respectively as on the date of notification of the vacancies.
Educational Qualification: A candidate should have passed class 10 from any recognized board of school education. Candidates who have passed the class 10 boards in the first attempt will be given preferences.
A candidate must have knowledge of the Hindi language.
A candidate should be able to furnish 60 days of the basic computer training certificate from any Computer Training Institute run by Central/State Government /Universities / Boards / Private Institutions. However, the requirement of a basic computer knowledge certificate shall be relaxed if a candidate has studied computer as a subject in matriculation or class 12th or at any other higher educational level.
Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA):

Branch Post Master: The Job Profile of Branch Post Master will include managing affairs of GDS Branch Post Office, India Posts Payments Bank (IPPB) and ensuring uninterrupted counter operation during the prescribed working hours using the handheld device/Smartphone supplied by the Department.
Assistant Branch Post Master: The Job Profile of Assistant Branch Post Master will include all functions of sale of stamps/stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail at doorstep deposits/payments/other transactions under IPPB, assisting Branch Postmasters in counter duties using the handheld device/Smartphone supplied by the Department.
Dak Sevaks: The Job Profile of Dak Sevaks will include all functions of viz sale of stamps and stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail and any other duties assigned by Postmaster/Sub Postmaster including IPPB work in the Departmental Post Offices/RMS.

Selection will be made as per the automatically generated merit list as per the rules based on the candidates online submitted applications. No weightage will be given for higher educational qualification. Only marks obtained in 10th standard of approved Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals will be the criteria for finalizing the selection.
