JBNSTS Senior Talent Search Test 2021, Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search has released Senior Talent Search Test 2021 Notification and invites applications from the eligible candidates.
Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNST) is the most prestigious scholarship that offers Rs.1000/- a month and annual book grant of Rs.1000/- to eligible candidates studying basic sciences (honours), engineering or medicine. From this year JBNSTS scholars will be considered for scholarship for Higher Education(SHE) by the Government of India.

Duration of the scholarship is till the end of B.E./B. Tech/ M.B.B.S./ M.Sc. (Basic Sciences).
Scholarship amount:
i) For Engineering/Medical students – Rs. 4000/- per month and an annual book grant of Rs. 5000/-ii) For Basic Science Students as per DST-INSPIRE norms – Rs. 5000/- per month
Important: According to the announcement of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India, JBNSTS Scholars of Basic Sciences will be directly considered for the Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) under the “INSPIRE” Program. The Scholarship of Rs. 60,000/- per annum & a research grant of Rs. 20,000/- per annum shall be given till the completion of Master’s Degree. Exposure to seminars, colloquia, educational tour, and scientific research projects, etc.
Who Can Apply:
Chose who have appeared in their 10+2 examinations with science and aspiring to study Engineering/Medicine/ Basic Science (H) [DST INSPIRE approved subjects] in any Institute/College/University in West Bengal in 2021.
Final selection of scholar is subject to submission (in the month of September 2021) of their proof of admission in the 1st year UG Science (Hons.), Engineering, Medicine in any institute of West Bengal. Pass course and Diploma course students are not eligible.
Application Details:
Application forms can be obtained from the JBNSTS office in person or may be downloaded from the JBNSTS website: www.jbnsts.org. Candidates may apply on Photocopy of the application form downloaded from our website or collected from JBNSTS office. The application can be submitted both online and offline.
1. Offline: A non-refundable bank draft of Rs. 200/- (from any nationalized bank) drawn in favour of `Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search’ payable at Kolkata, to be attached with the filled in application form.
2. Online: Candidates may visit our website (www.jbnsts.org) and click on the requisite link wherein application fee (Rs. 200/-) may be paid through Debit card /Credit Card/ Net Banking.
SELECTION PROCESS
It is a multi-staged selection process
Written Test: Total Marks 100 Time 3 hours
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology(any three subject) will be held at different centers in West Bengal .
Interview:
For selected candidates, based on their performance in written test.
Scientific Creativity Test:
For selected candidates, based on their performances in previous two stages.
A unique initiative to promote girls’ higher education. Girl students passing class XII examination in 2021 & aspiring to study Basic Science / Engineering / Medicine in West Bengal. This scholarship shall be awarded through JBNSTS Senior Scholarship Test.
Scholarship Details
Rs. 2000/- per month and book grant of Rs. 2000/- annually till completion of Bachelors’ (Medicine / Engineering) degree, Masters (Basic Sc., as per DST – INSPIRE approved subjects) degree.
Special Attention For All enior Talent Search Examination Applicants
Laptop will be awarded for academic and research activity to top ten boys and top ten girls of the Senior Talent Search Test.
