Medical Counselling Committee, MCC which is charged with National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET UG Counselling 2020 for 15% All India Quota was expected to release the First Round Results on July 1st as per the new counselling schedule after completion of seat allotment processing from June 27th to June 30th. Students are notified that the schedule has been revised and the NEET Counselling 2020 First Round results have been deferred. The new dates and schedule are released on mcc.nic.in. In the interim, the choice locking would close on June 27 at 11 am.
MCC to release NEET UG first round counselling seat allocation result 2020 after 8 pm at medical counseling.nic.in: The Medical Counseling Committee is expected to release the first round seat allocation result for NEET UG Counselling 2020 after 8 pm on July 1st.
As per the information available on the website “The Provisional Result for Round -1 of UG Counselling 2020 will be available after 08:00 pm”
The registration process for the first round of counselling was started from June 19, 2020 and continued up to June 26, 2020. The registration for second round of counselling will begin from July 9, 2020. After the second round of counselling for All India Quota seats, the students who take admission in All India Quota seats should not be allowed/permitted to vacate the seats.
Therefore, the candidates are advised to take a calculated decision of continuing in Second round of AIQ/Deemed/Central Universities as they would not be permitted to resign from 2nd round of AIQ/Deemed/Central Universities. They will also not be allowed to participate in any Counselling after joining in Second Round of AIQ.
NEET UG first round counselling: It has been decided by MCC that the earlier eligibility criteria of 15% AIQ wherein total candidates called for Counselling were five times the number of seats available for allotment were (as being done previously) has been abolished. All candidates will be eligible till exhaustion of seats.
The 15% seats surrendered by Government Medical/Dental Colleges run as per the approval of MCI/DCI are filled through the counselling conducted by DGHS are known as All India Quota seats. The merit list of the eligible and successful candidates who have opted for 15% All India quota seats has been prepared by the NTA on the basis of marks obtained in the NEET (UG) -2020. The list of successful candidates has also been forwarded to the Directorate General of Health Services (Medical Examination Cell), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India for the purpose of allotment of seats by Online Counselling to 15% All India Quota Seats
NEET UG Counselling: Candidates are informed that the all the NEET Under Graduate (MBBS/BDS) counseling for All India Quota seats/ Institutional Quota/ Domicile (internal candidates) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi), (wards of ESIC insured persons) seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune for the Under graduate session 2020-20 is being conducted by Medical Counseling Committee/ Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
Steps to be followed in NEET UG Counselling Seat Allocation
- Main Counseling Registration including payment
- Exercising of Choices and Locking of choices
- Process of Seat Allotment – 1st Round
- Round 1 Result Publication
- Reporting at the allotted Medical/Dental College against 1st Round (free entry/exit option available).
- Publication of net vacant seats
- Registration & Fresh Choice submission by eligible candidates for 2nd Round (not required by already registered candidates).
- Process of Seat Allotment – 2nd Round (exit with forfeiture of security amount option available).
- Round 2 Result Publication
- Reporting at the Medical / Dental Colleges /Institutions against 2nd Round (candidates once joined the allotted seat against 2nd Round are not allowed to vacate the seat).
As per the notification released on the official website on June 26, -2020, candidates who had applied for the NEET UG Counselling are required to close or ‘lock’ their choices by 11 am on June 27. Initially the results for the first round allotment were expected to be released on June 27. While MCC may still release the results. on June 27
MCC, the counselling committee will release the results of first round of allotment on July 1st. After the reporting, the candidates would get about 5 to 6 days to report to the colleges to claim the admission and the medical or dental seat i.e. Candidates should report to allotted college from July 1st to July 6th, -2020
How to check the MCC Medical counselling -2020 Seat Allocation Result:
The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) on Tuesday released the first round seat allotment result for NEET counseling -2020 on its official website. The candidates who have applied for the MBBS admission through 15% All India Quota can visit the official website of MCC- medicalcounseling.nic.in- to check and download their results.
The candidates who have got seat allotted in the first round seat allotment need to report at the respective reporting centres from July 1, -2020. The last date to report for NEET counselling -2020 is July 6, -2020.
Candidates can register for the second round of NEET counselling -2020 from July 9 to 11, -2020. Candidates can lock their choices on July 12, -2020. The processing of second round of seat allotment will be from July 13 to 15, -2020. As per the schedule, MCC will release the second round of seat allotment result on July 15, -2020. The candidates who get seat allocated in the second round of seat allotment need to report at the reporting centre between July 15 to 22, -2020.
