Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to Class IX of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas against the vacant seats, which are likely to be available during the academic year 2025-2025.

The admission is through an All India Entrance Test conducted on 08-01-2025 from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM. in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya of the district concerned. The medium of the test is English/Hindi.

The result of the Selection Test will be notified in the Vidyalaya Notice Board and published in selected local newspapers. Selected candidates will also be intimated by post.

Navodaya 9th class entrance exam 2025 details

The selection test contains questions from Mathematics, General Science, English and Hindi. The total duration of the exam is three hours.

The subjects are English, Hindi, Maths, and Science, and each carries a total of 100 marks. The question paper will be in Hindi and English. The examination will be two and a half hours long, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Students will have to answer on the OMR sheet.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Exam Admit cards have been released for the Class 9 lateral entry Entrance exam. Candidates who have registered for the exam can download the admit card from the NVS official website, nvsadmissionclassnine.in.

1. Visit the Navodaya Website: Students who have registered for the Navodaya Entrance Exam can visit the official Navodaya website at http://navodaya.gov.in/.
2. Go to the JNVST website: On the Navodaya website, click on the JNVST web portal. The 9th Class JNV Exam web portal will appear, like nvsadmissionclassnine.in.
3. Click on Download Admit Card link: On the NVS web portal’s home page, Click on the Download Admit Card link under the candidate corner section. Then, the admit card downloading web page will appear.
4. Log in to the web page: On the admit card downloading web page, students need to enter their registration number and date of birth in the required fields.
5. Download Admit Card: After logging in to the web page, Click on the submit button, and your admit card will be displayed on the screen. After checking the details, download the admit card.
6. Take a printout: After downloading the admit card, print it out for future reference and carry it to the exam hall.

Candidates must keep their hall ticket while going to the examination hall and read and follow the instructions on the hall ticket. The candidate should preserve this “Hall Ticket” for any future correspondence.

Candidates are advised to visit the exam centre one or two days in advance to learn its location and the transportation facilities available to reach it at the appropriate time to avoid tension and confusion.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (JNVS): The Navodaya Vidyalaya has informed that candidates who have applied online for the admission test to be held in February will be able to download their hall tickets from the website for filling vacant seats in class 9 of Jawahar Navodaya University.

Instructions to 9th Class JNVST Applied Candidates:

• The entrance examination will be held from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
• Candidates must arrive one hour before the exam centers, i.e., 9 am.
• The Multiple Choice Questions in Hindi, English, Mathematics and General Science are included in the entrance examination.
• Candidate should get a minimum number of marks in each section.
• There are 100 questions out of 100 marks in the question paper.
• Answers should only be bubbled on the OMR SHEET.
• The candidate should only use a Black or Blue Ballpoint pen in the entrance examination.
• Candidates are prohibited from using Cell Phones, Calculators, Electronic Watches, Bluetooth and any electronic devices in examinations.
• Candidates must comply with the terms specified in the Hall Ticket.
• Candidates cannot write the entrance examination without Hall Ticket / Admit Card.

Candidates who applied for admissions in standard 9th can now check and download their admit cards from the official website of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, which is nvsadmissionclassnine.in.

The class 9 selection test will be conducted for 2 and a half hours in OMR sheet format. It will be conducted in both English and Hindi. The total mark of the exam is 100.

Candidates would be asked questions from English, Hindi, Maths, and Science. The selection test’s difficulty level would be of class 8 standard. Candidates cannot take any break during the test and the test would be of objective type. 

The examination will be conducted for seats in 9th standard in Navodaya Vidyalayas across India. Presently, there are 636 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in India’s 28 States and 7 Union Territories.

JNV Samiti conducts an All India Test to fill the 9th-standard seats in all institutes. The result dates have not yet been declared by the Samiti, but the selected candidates are informed through SMS and Admission letters through posts.
