NETS is a National Entrance Test for SHRESHTA. SHRESHTA Entrance Exam conducted by the NTA in Computer Based Test mode. Candidates who qualify the SHRESHTA entrance exam are shortlisted for admission to CBSE affiliated schools.
Under this scheme, the government will disburse the SHRESHTA scholarships directly to the schools giving admission to the students shortlisted for the scheme.

The government has approved a new scheme named SHRESHTA (Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Targeted Areas) for the purpose of providing seats for the meritorious SC boys and girls in the best private residential schools in the country. What is the eligibility criteria for appearing in SHRESHTA (NETS)?
Only those candidates who have passed/ appearing in Class VIII for taking admission in Class IX and those appearing/passed in class X for taking admission in Class XI whose parental income is up to ₹ 2.50 lakh.
