Odisha Class 11 Admission 2023, How to apply at samsodisha.gov.in

The Department of School and Mass Education, Government of Odisha has begun the online application process for Odisha Class 11 admission 2023 or Odisha higher secondary admission 2023.

Interested students can apply through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) website, samsodisha.gov.in. Students can apply for various streams under SAMS Odisha Plus 2 Admission including arts, commerce, science, vocational, and Sanskrit through the portal.

Students, who have passed the class 10 exam can register themselves by filling the online Common Application Form (CAF). The admission will be based on merit and the first selection list will be released on September 13 at 11.30 am.

Admissions on the basis of the first merit list will be done between September 14 to 21. While the second merit list will be published on September 27 at 4 pm.

To be eligible for SAMS Admissions, applicants must have passed the high school certificate (HSC) examination from the board of secondary education (BSE), Odisha or its equivalent boards. Application fee for general category candidates is Rs. 200 and Rs. 100 for SC/ST candidates. Fee can be paid in online mode only.

How to Apply for Odisha class 11 admissions 2023?

The application for admission in to Class XI is invited online through 'Common Application Form (CAF)'. The CAF will be available in www.samsodisha.gov.in or www.sme.odisha.gov.in for applying online only. There will be one Common Prospectus (CP) and Common Application Form (CAF) for admission to any stream of any Higher Secondary Schools / Vocational/ Sanskrit Educational institutions in the State. Candidates may apply online mode and follow the given steps to CAF submission.

  1. Visit the https://samsodisha.gov.in Website

    Students need to visit the Students Academic Management System official website by entering the web address, https://samsodisha.gov.in in your device browser. Press the enter key and SAMS web portal will be appeared in your device screen.

  2. Click on the Higher Secondary School Button

    Once your reach the SAMS website, search for Higher Secondary School Button under School & Mass Education banner and click on it. Odisha Class 11 admission web portal will be appeared.

  3. Click on 'New Student Registration' button

    By click on the Higher Secondary School Button, e-admission web portal will be appeared in your device. Now click on the New Student Registration link, then sign up web page will be appeared.

  4. Enter Details in Sign Up web page

    By click on the New Student registration link, sign up web page will be appeared. Enter the details (Name of the Student, Mobile Number & Email ID} in the box provided in the sign up web page and click on the generate OTP button.

  5. Enter OTP

    A six-digit OTP, which will be valid for 5 minutes, will be sent to the mobile number provided. Applicant is required to enter the OTP number in the box showing in the computer screen.

  6. Create Password

    Applicant is required to give own password & reconfirm the same in the box showing in the computer screen. i) Password must have at least one Upper Case (Capital letter), one Lower Case (Small letter), one Digit & a Special Character (@, $, %, etc…) in it, e.g. Abcd@7618

  7. Login to SAMS Application

    Then login to the SAMS Application using the user-name (registered mobile number) & password given during online registration. Once inside, click on the 'Application Form' link in the left menu, to access the online common application form (CAF).

  8. Fill the CAF

    If an applicant has passed out from BSE, Odisha the examination Roll No is to be entered after selecting 'Name of the Board', 'Year of Passing' and 'Exam Type' and for the marks to show up on the CAF. If the applicant agrees with the marks shown in the screen, then s/he has to confirm by clicking on ‘Yes’ button or else on the ‘No’ button to allow to modify the marks in the CAF. Other board students will have to furnish the details on the CAF.

  9. Click on Apply button

    For online verification of the Caste certificate, put the Caste Certificate Barcode Number issued from Odisha e-District Application. Fill in all the details in the CAF and click on Apply button to submit the application. This will take you to the next page where you will be required to make CAF fees payment Online.

  10. Pay the Application Fee

    Once submit the application, web page will be redirected to Fee Payment web page. Online payment will take you to the payment gateway where using the options such as Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking and UPI etc. Pay the CAF fees through given online modes.

Before final submission of the application by pressing the ‘confirm’ button, applicants can modify their information, if necessary. They need to click the ‘Back to Modify’ button. However, after getting a confirmation message and ‘Reference Number’, applicants cannot edit the form.

Marks secured at class 10 out of the total marks, weightage and reservation (if applicable) will be taken into consideration for preparing the merit list. The SAMS Odisha portal has received 5904 applications as of August 12, 11.35 am.

  2. Where to apply Online?

    Applicants can apply online at home (through own computer/mobile), Cybercafé, Common Service Center, Internet Facility Center operated in SAMS Resource Centers etc. They are requested to strictly follow COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Government.

  3. Do I submit the CAF online only?

    You need to apply online through the CAF following the guidelines of the CP, take print copies of the HSS/College/Institute Copy & Applicant Copy and submit at selected HSS during the time of admission along with the photo copies of the documents as mentioned in the CP/Intimation letter.

  4. How much do I pay while submitting a filled CAF?

    For +2 & +3 general candidate CAF will be Rs. 200/- and ST&SC candidate Rs. 100/- only irrespective of number of option opted in the CAF. For ITI it is Rs. 10/- per Institute.

  5. How to modify information in a CAF?

    Before final submission of the application by pressing “confirm” button, applicant can modify any provided information by clicking “Back to Modify” button. But applicants after getting confirmation accompanied with Congratulations message and ‘Reference Number’ cannot edit/modify the same. If they intend to do so, then they are suggested to register their concern with the HELPDESK.

  6. Can I modify any information in the CAF after submission?

    No. Once the CAF is submitted online and payment has been completed, no modifications can be made. However, If you have applied by giving some wrong information, then you can apply another CAF by using a different phone number.

  7. How would I know if I am selected?

    The merit lists are published on the scheduled date & time. You can check your selection status by logging in to student e-space portal (www.samsodisha.gov.in).

  8. Will I be intimated exclusively?

    You will also be intimated exclusively through SMS & Email (if mobile number & email address is provided in the CAF). You can also download the intimation letter from the website www.samsodisha.gov.in at the link ‘Know Your CAF Status’. No postal intimation shall be sent for any selection.
