Sankalpam is an Educational Program, Determined to Develop Every Student: “Samkalpam” is an educational program to implement in the districts to monitor schools in the district. The program is designed with the following aspects for monitoring purpose of the schools.
Part -I
School particulars
Observations:
- Most of the schools conducting school assembly as a manner of Academic Calendar Vandematharam, Maa Telugu Talli pledge-Proverb-Poem-Todays, New National Anthem in the presence of Teacher.
- 50% Schools of maintaining cleaning school and class room.
- 75% of visiting schools are comes under B + grade
- Radio Lessons maintaining 90% of school
- Uniforms, NT Books were distributed by most of the schools
- SMC Meeting conducted in by monthly.
- Utilize the community participation (Note Books-Pens-Pencils-Tie Belts-ID cards-MDM Plate) only 15 % of schools in academic achievements
Gaps:
- Teacher sand pupils participates is poor in conducting school Assembly
- Not maintaining all mannerisms in conducting school assembly
- 50% of schools not maintaining cleanliness of schools
- Uniforms and NT Books were Distributed
- Some School not maintained acquittance
- SMC Meetings conducted were very a few SMC Members are attending.
- Grants Utilization
Observations:
- 75% of are utilizing grants properly
- SMC resolution, Cash Book, Vouchers records are maintained
- 50% Schools are maintaining Social Audit Boards regarding SSA Grants
Gaps:
- Variation between Cash Book & Pass Book
- On Resolution a few SMC members are signed
- 25% of schools not utilize SSA Grants properly
- Maintenance of Registers
Observations:
- Most of the Schools are maintaining all types of registers
- Most of the teachers have not gone to houses of children who are long obscenities for propaganda. Sankalpam is an Educational Program
- MDM Registers and Food Committee registers are maintaining properly
Gaps:
- Movement registers are only meant for office work, not for personnel work
- For MDM 5 registers must maintained
- Only SSA Supplied registers were utilized for CCE (Continuous comprehensive evaluation ) marks
- Teacher performance
Observations:
- Most of the teachers maintaining Year plan , Lesson plan & Dairy
- Question papers are preparing a few teachers
- 50% Teachers personnel marks registers
Gaps:
- Unit Plan, period plan is not writing
- 100% Primary Teachers are not prepare principals of valuation
- Question papers purchase from private printers or agencies
- Innovative Activities
Observations:
- Post Box, Wall Magazine honesty box are maintaining. Most of the schools are not maintaining records of innovative activities
- Very few students clubs are doing their job activities
- Door to Door campaign by the teachers at time of Education Fortnight and Vidya Sambaralu
Gaps:
- No Innovative activities useful to schools & students
- MDM Observations
Observations: - Logo, Menu Chart Food Committees are maintaining most of the schools
- Pupils habituate washing hand and plates before taking Mid Day Meal
- Food Tasty and Quality.
Gaps:
- In some schools 60 to 80% of children taking MDM
- In some schools cooking place is not hygienic condition
- Class Room Observations
Observations:
- Student average attendance is poor
- All schools syllabus is covered as per academic calendar
- Some teachers using TLM very affectively
- 40% of the teachers giving remedial teaching for backward students
- Most of schools issued progress Cards
Gaps:
- In most of the schools 20% of children are not come to school regularly
- Remedial must essential for backward children
- In the place of progress cards students cumulative records must be should
- Skills of Students
Observations:
- 45% of students have fore fold skills of listening speaking, reading & writing
- Some school teachers giving home work and class work. The correction will done regularly
- In the beginning of the school readiness cards were used effectively
Gaps:
- Most of the students not having fore fold skills
- Hand writing is not good
- Some children are not able to read and write
- Project Work must given to all students
- Co curricular activities
Observations:
- Most of the schools utilization of library books is good
- Physical education, Art and Cultural education is conducting a few schools
- Annual Day and National festivals are conducting effectively in some schools
Gaps:
- Annual Day and National festivals are not conducting and they are not recorded. Sankalpam is an Educational Program
- Very few schools participating complex and mandal level competitions
Part –II
School Infrastructure
Observations:
- Most of the schools having adequate class rooms
- Most of the schools having Drinking Water and Toilet facility
- 50% Schools are having kitchen sheds
- Electricity is available in all schools
- In some schools furniture is available
- 70% of schools are not having compound walls
- In some schools public participation is very good for providing infrastructure
- In most of the primary schools play ground is not available
Special Features of Samkalpam Team
Observations
- In some schools physical facilities, infrastructure, cleanliness and sanitation, Drinking water facility, MDM, NT Books, Quality Education, Class Room observations, Grants utilization, Public involvement, Physical Education, ART & Culture, Annual Day and National Festivals, Interaction with the children and parents, Utilization of TLM, Computer Education are Good.
- In some schools School Bank is conducting by the students
- In some schools Neutrious Food were supplied by the donors twice in a week
- New Civil Dresses were supplied by the donors to poor students
- Under Ground Drainage System
- 150 patriotic songs , English Rhymes, Telugu Rhymes were collected in a CD. Sankalpam is an Educational Program
- In some schools TV lessons are very useful and effectively maintained
