32nd STSE Science Talent Search Exam 2023 For 9th and 10th Class students. Dr. A S RAO AWARDS COUNCIL, A Voluntary Organization formed to spot and nurture Talent in Science has released the 32nd Science Talent Search Examination (STSE) 2023 notification.

This STSE Exam would be conducted in the two Telugu states for the 9th, 10th Class students and to find the hidden talents of the students through this test in this year, Those who have talent in this STSE Preliminary examination will be selected for the STSE final exam on December 29.

The 32nd Science Talent Search Examination 2023 (STSE) will be held on December 1st under the guidelines of Dr AS Rao Awards Council. Students who are interested to appear this STSE Test should apply by paying Rs. 200 by August 30. Students may apply with an Rs.250 till October 19. Students who are placed in the top three positions in each class will be awarded an award of Rs.25,000, Rs.15,000 and Rs. 10,000. The 40 best students will be able to attend the science workshop in Hyderabad next year. For further details please visit the official website.

Cash Awards ( for each class):
a. Dr A S Rao Award & 1st cash prize for 1st rank holder: Rs. 25,000/-
b. 2nd cash prize for 2nd rank holder: Rs. 15,000/-
c. 3rd cash prize for3rd rank Rank holder: Rs. 10,000/-
d. Merit Certificate and Book Prize will be awarded to declared toppers in each class.
e. Science workshop: 50% of declared toppers of 9th class in order of merit & who give their consent to participate in the Residential Science workshop, will be invited, to participate in the science workshop to be held at Hyderabad, for 6 days, during last week of April/1st week of May .

STSE Exam Dates:
Screening Test will be held on 01 Dec
Final Test will be held on 29 Dec

STSE Exam Pattern:
The 32nd STSE will be held in 2 parts
Preliminary Exam – Screening Test and
Final Exam –  Final Test will be held only in English Medium.

A. STSE Screening Test:
a. Screening Test will be held on Sunday, the 1st December 2019 from 10 AM to 1 PM.
b. This Test will have 100 Multiple Choice Questions (25 MCQs in each of 4 subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & Biology) for Maximum marks are 300.

B. STSE Final Test:
a. Final Test will be conducted only in selected Centers on Sunday, 29th December 2019 (for 2 hrs duration from 2 to 4 PM.) for those students who get qualified in Screening Test by securing marks above the “cut-off Mark’ to be decided based on relative merit.
b. This Test will have 20 short answer questions (5 questions in each of 4 Subjects).
c. Maximum marks are 100 and the Student has to write answers in the space provided immediately after each question.

Travel expenses:
Outstanding candidates called and appeared for Final Test, will be paid to and for travel expenses to Examination Centre by train (second sleeper only).

STSE Syllabus:
As prescribed by the Council, which will be made available on Council’s Website from 1st October 2019.

STSE Answer Key:
The tentative KEY for Screening Test will be available in our Website from 4th to 6th December 2019.

Objections on STSE Answer Key:
Objections if any in this key has to be sent to the Convener only through e-mail ( no scanned supportive documents for a claim to be attached. A brief word note can be attached) on or before 5 pm of 6th December 2019 for consideration by the Experts Committee. The objections received thereafter will not be considered under any circumstances. Objections sent as SMS or by phone will not be considered. After considering the genuine corrections, the final key will be prepared for evaluation.

STSE Results:
a. The list of qualified candidates to appear for the Final Test will be available in Council’s Website on 14th December 2019.
b. The list of Awardees & Rank Holders in each Class will be displayed in Council’s Website on 15th January .

STSE Exam Fee: 
The examination fee Rs. 200/- can be paid by cash at Council’s Office at Hyderabad, or by Demand Draft only, drawn in favour of DR. A S RAO AWARDS COUNCIL, payable at Hyderabad. Incomplete applications (received without photo and examination fee), will be rejected without any further communication to the student.

Science Talent Search Exam 2023 STSE Application Form and How to Apply: Application forms can be obtained from the Council’s office in person or by sending a self-addressed (A4 size) stamped (Rs. 5/-) envelope. Examination fee details and last date to receive the duly filled in applications in Council’s Office:

About Dr A S RAO AWARDS COUNCIL (ASRAC):
The main aim in establishing the Council was to propagate the ideals of late Dr AS Rao (1914-2003), by way of spotting talent in young children, and nurturing them. One way to do this was by conducting a competitive Science Talent Search Examination (STSE) every year for High School students of 9th class and 10th class from all over the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Besides the annual STSE, Workshops are conducted for top students (in STSE) of 9th class giving an opportunity to them to get experience in conducting science lab experiments and projects and interact with senior Faculty. Special Capacity Enhancement Programs are organized for secondary school teachers so that they can excel as teachers.

All these activities are planned and implemented with the help of service-oriented academics, employees of ECIL and philanthropists. The Council functions with a meagre corpus fundraised out of life memberships, and with the altruistic work of several volunteers.
