The State Government has initiated a flagship programme, “Telanganaku Haritha Haaram” for taking massive afforestation activities to increase the green over of the Telangana State to the desired level of 33% of the State’s total geographical area from the existing 25.16% area. As a part of the Telanganaku Haritha Haaram programme, the Department of School Education undertaking 1 Crore tree plantation in the schools/offices in 3 years during 2015, 2016 and 2017.

In the Continuation of this office, The action Plan on TELANGANAKU HARITHA HAARAM-HARITHA PATASHALA is here with communicated to RJDs of SE and DEOs in the State with instructions to contact all school managements including Pvt Aided, Pvt Schools in the Dist and obtain their indent for the plants and species required and the DEOs are requested to furnish this data to the Dist Collector, Dist Forest Officer in the Dist and to the undersigned by 15-5-2015 without fail.
Further , the DEOs are also requested to keep track by obtaining the data from the schools viz., Govt,ZP, MP,Pvt Aided,Pvt institutions in the formats enclosed about the survival of the plants which they will plant on a regular basis
