Telangana Swachh Balak Mission, All the district administrations is set to launch the Bal Swachh Mission it is on the lines of the Swachhta Abhiyan on Today on the occasion of Children’s Day.
On the eve of Children’s Day,According the ministry of drinking water & sanitation has decided to launch the mission, which will be a comprehensive programme with the objective of sensitizing and involving children in different aspects of hygiene and sanitation.
In this mission, six main themes have been chosen for the Bal Swachhta Mission – clean school and anganwadis; clean surroundings like playgrounds; clean self (personal hygiene/child health); clean food; clean drinking water; and clean toilets.
Each day, starting from November 14, one of these themes will be taken up across the district. Activities connected to the theme will be organized. The Bal Swachhta Mission will culminate on the World Toilet Day on November 19, thus spreading the message of ending open defecation.
On the first day on Friday, a cleanliness drive will be carried out on the premises of all the schools and anganwadis by teachers, anganwadi workers and students and other school staff. On November 15, the cleanliness drive will be undertaken outside or at the nearby school or anganwadi.

The State Project Director, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Telangana State, Hyderabad has issued proceedings rc.no.2040 on November 13th, 2014 to all theDEOs and all the POs of SSA in the State for launching of Swachh Balak Mission (SBM) in all schools from November 14th to 19th, 2014 and certain guidelines have been issued to them by the SPD on this programme.

Swachh Balak Mission (SBM) Theme with Dates
All the DEOs & POs in the State are inform that, in the proceedings 1st cited, instructions were issued with a request to celebrate Child Right Week & Library Week from 14th to 20th November, 2014.
They are informed that, the Govt. in the Memo 2nd cited, furnished a copy of letter received from the Secretary, Ministry of Panchyat Raj, Govt. of India with a request to send action taken report to the PR & Rural Development (RWS &S) Dept. Where in instructions were issued to launch Swachh Balak Mission (SBM) in all schools & Anganwadis from 14th to 19th November, 2014 by the Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation.
The theme of the mission along with the dates is as follows:
14-11-2014 – Clean school/surroundings/play areas.
15-11-2014 – Clean Food
16-11-2014 – Sunday
17-11-2014 – Clean self (the activities on clean self/personal hygiene can be taken up on any day)
18-11-2014 – Clean Drinking Water
19-11-2014 – Clean Toilets.
(Atleast one day between 14th nad 19th November, 2014 may be taken up as interaction day with children by Gram Panchayat & Village Health &
Sanitation committee members)
They are therefore, requested to make necessary arrangements for Swachh Balak Mission (SBM) also to be launched in all schools and Anganwadis with effect from 14.11.2014 to 19.11.2014 and send the action taken report to the State Project Director for onward submission to the Government without fail.
