DEM Telangana invites online applications for admission into General Nursing Course (Three years Course and Six months Internship) in the Government and Private Schools of Nursing in the State for the year 2020-2021.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed XII class OR Intermediate or its equivalent examination preferable with Science subjects. As per the G.O Ms. No: 410 HM &FW (K2) Dept, Dated: 28.11.2008, MPHW (F) candidates who have passed ANM course of 18 months are eligible to admit into GNM course and they are exempted 6 months duration in GNM course subject to the condition that they shall undergo the revised training program as laid by the Indian Nursing Council New Delhi.
The aggregate marks of minimum 45% in Intermediate or its equivalent examination are fixed by the Indian Nursing Council for admissions into Nursing Schools (for admissions into General Nursing and Midwifery Course).
The same is relaxed in favor of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes candidates and they shall be eligible if they passed, Intermediate or its equivalent examination.
Age Limit: The minimum age shall be 16 years completed and enter 17th year as on the 1st July of the year and shall not have completed 35 years of age. The upper age limit for the candidates belonging to SC, ST and BC’s is relaxable by 3 years.
How To Apply for TS GNM Admissions 2020
Submission Of Online GNM Admission Applications: Online admission Application form is available in the Director of Medical Education, Telangana State., Hyderabad official website i.e,http://dme.telangana.nic.in and the same is available. Follow the below-given steps for submission of the online GNM Admission application.
Step: 1: Pay the registration fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two hundred only) through a Government challan crediting to the following Head of Account
“0210 – Medical & Public Health 03 – Medical Education Training & Research MH 105 – Allopathy SH (81) – Other receipts 001 – Other receipts.” at State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of India at respective places.
Step: 2: Log on to DME Official Website i.e., http://dme.telangana.nic.in for an online application form. Fill up all the mandatory fields ( * ) as per the instructions given in the online application and press the submit button.
Step: 3: Download / Print the filled in the application form and submit the same with necessary enclosures as per the details noted in the application form. TS GNM /General Nursing Midwifery Course Admissions
The downloaded applications should reach the Superintendents of the Hospitals concerned on or before ……. by 5.00 P.M.
The Department will not be held responsible for any postal delays for non-receipt of applications on or before the stipulated date i.e. ………… by 5.00 PM.
Selection Process: Selections will be made purely on merit, on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the Candidates in the group subjects, excluding languages. In deciding, merit candidates who qualify under the compartmental system will be placed after candidates who passed in a single attempt.

- Selection process should be completed in Government Nursing Institutions by 06.10.2020
- Last date for submission of Downloaded applications at District level Conveners is on 09.10.2020 for Private Nursing Institutions for Convener and Management Quota Seats
- 6. Selection process should be completed in Private Nursing Institutions by 23.10.2020
