Since a few days, we have well noticed with TG Gurukul CET 2021. Because it is quite different from other tests which are conducted earlier. Each residential/ Gurukul will conduct their own entrance test. But now it is common to test for admissions into various Gurukuls.

Information related to admissions in 5th class of Gurukulams: Applications are invited various Gurukuls (507) accredited to the institution of Gurukul education/ Vidyalayas.

A. Duration of the application process: Duration of TGCET Online application process is Dt: 10-03-2021 to 03-04-2021.

B. Exam date: TS Gurukulam CET Entrance Exam date 30-05-2021 (postponed) and Timings 11.00 am to 1.00 pm

C. Exam Centre: Statewide centres in all district Headquarters. Allotment of centres in districts will be by DEO and exam will be conducted in those centres only. Details of exam centres are given in Prospectus.

D. The medium of Question Paper: Exam will be in Telugu, English & Urdu Media.

Eligibility Criteria for TGCET: (a) Age Limit: (A) Candidates of OC & BC should be born between 01.09.2010 to 31.08.2012 (Age should be between 9 to 11 years) and (B) Candidates of SC & ST should born between 01.09.2008 to 31.08.2012 (9 to 11 years)

(b) Annual income: For the year 2020-2021 students parents/ guardians annual income should not exceed Rs.1,50,000/- (for rural areas ), Rs.2,00,000/- (for urban areas ) children of armed personnel are exempted.

(c) Qualification: Student should be in 4th class for the academic year 2020 -2021 in govt school or school recognised by govt is eligible to appy for the TG Gurukul CET (5th Class Common Entrance Test)

Administration in school:

  1. The district will be taken as a unit in the selection process.
  2. Students belong to the fisherman community of all districts are eligible to take admission in school kodipalli (MDK Dt).
  3. Candidates of 31 district of TG are eligible to take admission in centre of excellence school of Sarvail (Nalgonda Dt).
  4. Eligible Gurukul schools details are given district wise in the table (1) (Management Wise)

Scheme of Exam/Exam pattern for Entrance test:

TGCET Exam Pattern: Exam is for 100 marks including the subjects of

  • Telugu: 20 Marks,
  • English: 25 Marks,
  • Maths: 25 Marks and
  • EVS: 20 Marks
  • Mental Ability: 10 Marks

a. Questions from 4th class standard level in objective type.
b. Duration of the exam is 2 hrs.
c. Students have to fill your answers in OMR sheet are given in Prospectus.
d. The exam will be in Telugu, English & Urdu Media.

Selection process in schools:

  1. Merit in the entrance test.
  2. Reservation Table has given above.
  3. Locality.
  4. Special category (Minority/orphans/children of armed personnel )
  5. If the same rank is secured by more than one then date of birthmarks scored in EVS are considered.
  6. Physically handicapped children, children of armed personnel reservations belong to their community reservation only.
  7. If any lack of candidates of any caste reservation category then reservation according to the rules of govt.
  8. Remained vacancies of the special category (PHC, children of armed personnel are allowed according to merit basis.
  9. District wise schools, eligible districts of admission in that schools are given in table (1). If selected candidates are not eligible, for admission any reason, such admission will be cancelled by convener ( authorized).
