TGCET 2025, or TG Gurukul CET 2025, is a 5th Class common entrance test notification that has been released by the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educations Society on behalf of the Government of Telangana on its official website, http://tgcet.cgg.gov.in.
TGCET means Telangana Gurukul Common Entrance Test, and it would be conducted every year to 4th class studying students for admission into 5th class in all Telangana Residential Schools, i.e., Telangana Gurukulams.

For this, TSWREIS will release the TG Gurukul CET 2025 notification in February for TS Gurukulam 5th class admission in all Telangana Gurukul Schools.
Applications will be invited from the eligible and interested class-studying students for admission into General, SC, ST, and BC Gurukulams for the academic year 2025.
Now, only one Telangana Gurukulam 5th Class Joint Entrance Test 2025 will be conducted by TS Social Welfare Gurukul Society annually for admissions into TS Residential Schools for SC, ST, BC, and General category students.
TGCET 2025
This TGCET is a TS Residential Schools Admission Test conducted yearly for 5th-class admissions in TREIS, Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare, and BC Welfare Gurukuls. So, the 5th class entrance test is for all TSWREIS, TTWREIS, TREIS, and TSBCWREIS residential schools.
This year, February’s TGCET exam will be held in all district headquarters. The government of Telangana, TSWREIS, has released the 5th Class Common Entrance Test, TGCET, for admission into the fifth Class in TSWREIS, TTWREIS, MJPTBCWREIS, and TREIS 21st Century Schools.
Interested parents who want to join their children can check the details and submit the TGCET application online at the Gurukul CET website http://tgcet.cgg.gov.in as per the schedule.
TGCET hall tickets will be released after the registration process, and the result will be released after the examination on the official website of TG Gurukul CET.
Students who have passed the 4th class can write the TG Gurukulam CET. Candidates can download the Information Bulletin of TGCET and read it carefully to get detailed information on 5th class TG Gurukul CET; it will be available on the Website.
Telangana Gurukulam Common Entrance Test will be conducted for admission into the following gurukulams.

After the formation of Telangana, with the improvement of educational standards, the popularity of Gurukul educational institutions has increased tremendously.
Due to the large number of applications for these admissions, admissions are given based on merit by conducting entrance examinations.
This year, the residential schools have also decided to conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET) in the name of Telangana Gurukul CET and admit students under the ‘KG to PG’ Mission.
To this end, the Social Welfare Gurukul Society has issued a detailed notification, and applications have been received online.
As a part of the mission, applications are invited for admissions in 5th class English medium in Telangana Gurukul schools, which are accredited to TREIS, Social welfare, BC welfare, and Tribal welfare to give qualitative education to rural children to identify various hidden skills and to encourage motivate in those skills.
TS Gurukulam Vidyalayas are a group of schools formed by the Telangana Government to provide good quality modern education to talented children from predominantly rural areas irrespective of their family’s socio-economic background According to the State Education Policy under the KG to PG Scheme.
The T Government Formed Gurukula Vidyalaya Societies, i.e., TSWREIS, TTWREIS, TSBCWREIS, TMREIS, and TRIES under the School Education Department, look after the routine functioning of these Gurukul schools, i.e.,, TS SC, ST, BC, Minority and General Gurukul Schools. All the schools under Gurukul Vidyalayas are residential and not co-educational.
The students are provided food, clothes, and residential facilities free of cost. The institution aims to inculcate in the students a strong value system and respect for Indian culture. It also strives to make the students proficient in three languages under the three-language formula.
The main objective behind this set of schools is to serve every district as the main point for improving the quality of school education through sharing experiences and facilities. At present, there are 615 Gurukul Vidyalayas that are functioning at the district level.
The government is working towards extending this facility to the sub-divisional level. The schools under the KG to PG scheme are affiliated with the Board of Secondary Education (BSE).
A special entrance examination is held for admission to Class V in all Gurukul Schools which are successfully running in English Medium under the auspices of Telangana Welfare Gurukul Vidyalaya Societies and Education Departments.

TGCET 2025 Notification

The State government has strengthened the foundations of the education system in the State, with international standards being provided free of cost to poor and backward-class students.

Eligibility Criteria for TG Gurukul CET
Age limit for TS Gurukulams 5th Class Common Entrance Test: Candidates should have born between 01/09/2011 to 31/08/2013 (Age between 9 to 11 years as on 01/09/2025 are eligible) and 2 years exemption for SC, ST candidates. i.e., Age between 9 to 13 years as on 01/09/2025 are eligible (Between 01/09/2009 to 31/08/2013).
Educational qualification for TGCET: The students should be bona fide in Class IV during the academic year in any government school or any recognized school in Telangana State. Income Limit: The Parental income for the year should not exceed Rs.1,50,000/- per annum for rural areas and should not exceed Rs.2,00,000/- for urban areas.
