TS School Android Mobile App for School visits, School Infrastructure, Toilet monitoring 2021

TS School Android Mobile App, School Infrastructure, Toilet monitoring: NIC has developed Mobile applications (Android devices) for the Department of School Education, Telangana for various school activities. The mobile app is hosted on the Google Play store under NIC Account  The Mobile app can be downloaded from Google Play Store (TS School).

NIC has developed and authorized an android mobile app in the Android platform for TS School Infra Structure & monitoring and School Visits. The TS School Mobile Android App is named “TS School” and it uses the logos of the School Education Department.

All the District Educational Officers in the State have issued instructions to the Mandal Educational Officers, Complex Head Masters, Cluster Resource Persons and Sectoral officers concerned in their districts to download the “TS School” from Google Play Store by using Mobile App to update the visit reports in the App and also directed to review the monitoring reports of filed level officers.

Toilets Monitoring,  School Infrastructure, and Monitoring, School Visit, Haritha Haram parameters are stored in a centralized database for the generation of analysis reports for monitoring.
What is New?
1. Capturing the Geo Coordinates of school
2. Comparing with the Geo coordinates of schools collected earlier. It helps to identify whether the user is at the school location, by calculating the distance between GeoCoordinates.
3. The user has to capture the school photograph while visiting the school.

1. School Infra Structure & Monitoring

  • Photos of School infrastructure like school building, classrooms, drinking water facility, compound wall, kitchen shed, etc. can be uploaded using this app.
  • GeoCoordinates of Schools also can be captured and offline provision is also available. Comparing with the Geo coordinates of schools collected earlier. It helps to identify whether the user is at the school location, by calculating the distance between GeoCoordinates.
  • These visuals will be integrated with the GIS applications.
  • Various analysis reports are generated at the state/district/Mandal/school level.
  • This helps in monitoring facilities available in schools and for sanctioning of funds.

2. Toilet monitoring:
Using this app, school HMs can upload the visuals of toilets at regular intervals. Authorities can monitor the functional status of toilets from time to time.

3. School Visit
This module is used for the officials who visit the school for field verification.  This module allows capturing various school details like enrolment, attendance of children/teachers, syllabus covered, the status of toilets, midday meals, etc.  These parameters are stored in a centralized database for the generation of analysis reports for monitoring.

4. HarithaHaaram 
This app helps to monitor the tree plantation in real-time for day-to-day administration, planning, and management of HarithaHaaram in various schools of Telangana. District/Mandal/School level reports are available to know the no of trees planted across schools in Telangana.

1. School Infra Structure & Monitoring:
This module is to monitor the infrastructure of the school, in this Module, CRP has to login with the cluster-id(10 digit code) and upload the school-related photographs, in this version (3rd version) offline mode is added to capture the photographs of schools even they don’t have proper mobile network at school location.

How to Use Offline Mode? TS School Android Mobile App

  1. User needs to login to the application when the internet is available, Once successfully log in to the application it doesn’t ask for the login again(until user logged out).
  2. After the login user has to go to the school and open the mobile application again at the school location, now select the school from the drop-down and click on the capture pictures button.
  3. If the internet is not available at that location, then the following message will be shown
  4. Now click on USE OFFLINE, and take the school photographs as mentioned bellow.
  5. After taking all school photographs click on the upload button, and then it will try to upload the pictures to the server if there is no proper internet connection all the data will be saved locally and gives below notification.
  6. If the user selects the school (For which data has been saved locally) again it shows previously captured (locally saved) pictures, user can update this data to the server when the internet is available.

Follow the same offline procedure, where ever the internet connection is not available.
1. Then upload the locally taken photographs to the server when the internet is available.
2. How to upload to server: Go to the location where internet available, and select the school (which has the locally saved data) from the drop-down menu at Home screen, and click on capture photos button then it shows all the pictures taken, then click on upload button. The below message will be shown after a successful upload to the server.

Note: Follow the previous process for online (schools that have a proper network).

Offline Mode: Use this option when the internet is not available.
1. Login: Cluster resource person (CRP) has to login with his id (10 digit Cluster Code) and password (default: test@123) for the first time login. if the user changed his password in the school visit module please log in with the same user id and password (school visit).

Users can register through any module (School Infrastructure/School Visit). He need not register for every module. The same password can be used for all modules(School Infrastructure/School visit).

2. Registration Form: 
If the user is logging in for the first time using valid credentials, the screen will navigate to the registration. The user has to provide the required data.

Details need to enter: Name, Treasure Id, Email Id, Mobile Number, and Alternate Mobile Number, Old Password(default:test@123), New password, Confirm Password.

After entering all the fields required, click on the SUBMIT button. Screen will navigate to the login screen , now login again (login with new password)

3. Home: After successful login screen will navigate to the home screen. In this screen, you can find the map which shows the current location and address, here user needs to select a school(For which, photographs are being captured) from the dropdown and click on the capture button to capture the photos of the selected school.

Geo Tagging: Make sure that you should be at the selected school location while taking the school infrastructure photos.

4. School Infra Photos: In this screen, you need to capture and upload all school-related photographs, like school building, compound wall and kitchen shed, etc. To capture or update the photos, you need to click on the grid item as shown in the picture.

Capture the photographs as per the title given at the bottom of each grid.
Note: Wait for the minimum accuracy value while capturing the photograph.

2. Toilet Monitoring (Access is given for school HMs only): 
Login Screen: Enter your user id (School Id) and password (default:test@123) and click on the “Login” button, For the first time login user needs to reset his default password.

3. Registration Form: 
If the user is logging in for the first time using the valid credentials screen will navigate to the registration. user has to provide the required data.
User needs to select cluster, school and enter the number of boys toilets and girls toilets available in your school respectively and click on the DONE button.

After that user needs to enter: Name, Treasure Id, Email Id, Mobile Number, and Alternate Mobile Number, Old Password(default:test@123), New password, Confirm Password. And alias names for each toilet.
Here Toilet Ids are auto-generated, for Boys toilets BT1, BT2, BT3…etc for girls GT1, GT2, GT3…etc, for this auto-generated toilet ids user needs to assign alias names for future identification.

After entering all the fields required to click on the submit button. the screen will navigate to the login screen, now log in again (login with a new password)

4. Home: After successful login screen will navigate to the home screen. In this screen, you can find the map which is mapping the current location and the Complaint button clicks on this button to register the complaint or rectify the complaint. Here Geotagging is added for location accuracy.

Note: If the internet is not available to capture the pictures manually and upload those photos and toilet details when the internet is available.

Complaint & Rectify:
Complaint: to submit the complaint user needs to select complaint module (default), select the Toilet (dysfunctional) in the drop-down and select the reason for not functioning by clicking on select reasons button(if it is other reason you need to enter reason manually) and capture the photograph of the selected toilet and click on Go button. After submitting the data, all the nonfunctional toilets show below as shown in the below picture.

Rectification: After submitting the data in complaint module, the rectification module is updated automatically with all the nonfunctional toilets in the school

After rectifying the toilet complaint user needs to update rectified toilet details in rectification module For update select the rectified toilet from the dropdown, enter the comment for rectification and capture the selected toilet photograph and click on Go button to submit date
All the recently rectified toilets are shown below as shown in the figure.

3. School Visit (Access given to CRPS):
1. Login: In this login, screen user needs to enter his user id (10 digit cluster ID) and password

2. Registration Form:
If the user is logging in for the first time using the valid credentials screen will navigate to the registration form activity there user needs to enter the required details.

Details need to enter: Name, Treasure Id, Email Id, Mobile Number, and Alternate Mobile Number, Old Password (default:test@123), New password, Confirm Password.

After entering all the fields required to click on the submit button. the screen will navigate to the login screen, now log in again (login with a new password)

5. School Visit Home Screen:
In this home screen you can find the left side menu navigation in this navigation you can find School visit, User Profile, Change Password, and logout navigation tabs.

If you click on the School visit above screen (default opened screen) will be opened here Visiting officer needs to enter the related fields it is an entry form for the school visit. In this screen based on the date of visit, school code, visiting officer designation you can insert or update the existing form.
What is New:

In this version of school visit application Geotagging is added to find the current location of the user, and the user needs to capture the school photograph as per the instructions of the SSA department.
Please go to school and capture photographs and other details. Upload the photograph and other details at school only.

5. User Profile Screen: If you click on the user profile tab on the navigation bar, user details of the corresponding (the user who is logged in) user will be shown.

6. Change Password: Change password is only available for the cluster login if you click on the change password tab on navigation bar change password dialogue will be opened here user needs to enter his old password, new password and confirm password.
If you click on the Logout tab on navigation bar logout dialogue will be opened, you click on ok then the user will be logged out from the current session, and Screen will navigate to log in screen.

7. Submit School visit form Part-1: After entering the details in the home screen you can submit or search the form based on the insert update selection. After submit/search screen will navigate to Enter Form-1 screen here you need to enter or update the required fields and click on submit part-1.

7. Submit School visit form Part-2: After submitting the part-1 screen will navigate to part-2 here user needs to enter the entire required field and click on the submit part-2 button.

8. Reports: Here user needs to enter from and to date and click on the Get Report button to get the school visit report.

3. HarithaHaaram 

Login: This is the first activity of the application, in this, you need to log in with user id and password.
User id: Mandal id (ex: 362108) (or) state Report Id (ex: SU001)
Password: For every user default password is test@123 user need to update his password for the first time login

Change Password: If user login first time he needs to update his password in the change password dialog
Here he needs to enter the old password (test@123), new password and confirm password.

Home Screen: 
In the home screen activity, there are two dropdowns there you need to select school complex following by school as shown in the screenshots,
Map View: In this map view it shows the current location of the user device, It will be updated to the backend along with the photos captured
Take Photos:  it opens the Take Photos Activity.
View Photos:  it opens the View Photos Activity

Take Photos Activity: 
In this activity, you need to enter a number of saplings planted, and need to take the 4 photographs (click on plant icon to take or select picture to upload) here 4 photographs are mandatory, and enter remarks if any and click on Upload button to save the data.
Note: Uploading photographs is restricted to once per school.

View Photo: 
In this activity, you can find the photographs previously taken and data entered, if data is not available in the server with the selected school it will show the no data popup.

Reports: 
If user login with the Report Id(su001), from login screen it will navigate to the State report activity it shows the overall state report, if you want District-wise report click on” All Districts “ text which is underlined, the screen will navigate to district wise report like this you can find the Mandal wise and cluster wise reports, and in all the screen you can find the Download pdf button to download that particular report.
