Civils Free Coaching admission is through entrance examination as per the General Studies syllabus of the Civil Services Prelims in English medium only. There will be 100 questions in General Studies (CSP Paper-I) and 40 questions in Test of Reasoning, Arithmetic, English comprehension as per CSAT Paper II of UPSC Exam pattern.
Candidates aspiring to crack the Civil Services Examination 2023 of the union Public Service Commission can avail of free coaching for the CSAT 2023 during the academic year 2022-23. The Telangana State Scheduled Castes Study Circle is extending the coaching to candidates belonging to SC, ST, BC and Minority communities in the State.
A total of 250 seats including 200 for freshers and 50 for repeaters are available. Admission to the free coaching programme for the CSAT 2023 is on the basis of the merit obtained in the entrance examination conducted at the State level on September 18 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
The entrance test is common for both the freshers and repeaters which will be held in Hyderabad, Warangal and Nizamabad districts. The test comprises multiple choice questions on the pattern of UPSC Prelims. It will have 100 questions on general studies and 40 questions on CSAT paper 2.

Sanctioned Strength The sanctioned strength is (250) seats, of which, (200) are for freshers and (50) repeaters (only those who have taken coaching for CSAT 2022 under freshers quota at TSSC Study Circle, Hyderabad). Out of (50) seats for Repeaters, it is decided to allot 15 seats to the students whose performance is good among the freshers of the last year i.e. 2021-22.
And similarly (10) seats whose performance is good among repeaters of last year CSAT-2022. The performance is based on the merit obtained in the tests conducted during 2021-22. The remaining 25 seats will be filled on merit in the entrance test meant for repeaters who are admitted as freshers in 2021-22.
The Telangana State Scheduled Castes Study Circle, Hyderabad, which is working under the control of department of Scheduled Castes Development Dept.. is going to organize free coaching for UPSC CSAT 2022 during the academic year for (250) candidates of SC, ST & BC communities, of which, (200) are for freshers and (50) are for repeaters.
The rule of reservation followed is
75% – SCs,
10% – STs and
15% – BCs, and
among total seats 33.33% of seats to women candidates and
3% to Physically challenged persons shall be reserved.
All the fresh candidates (i.e.) who are willing to be admitted first time in TSSC Study Circle, Hyderabad, have to appear for the entrance test which has 3 folds, (i.e.)
a. Preliminary Exam,
b. Mains Exam and
c. Viva Test and
the admission is based on merit.
Online applications are invited from any General / Professional Degree candidates of SC, ST & BC category belonging to 33 districts of Telangana for admission into Civil Services Aptitude Test of UPSC (CSAT 2022) being held at different erstwhile Districts and the last date for receipt of applications is 07-09-2022.
Entrance test for Preliminary will be conducted between 10.00 AM to 12.00 noon at Hyderabad, Warangal, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Adilabad, Nalgonda, Mahaboobnagar and Sangareddy Districts.
The candidates will be selected in the ratio of 1:3 to appear for the Main examination which is going to be held as per the schedule at Hyderabad only The detailed notification will be uploaded in the website http://tsscstudycircle.telangana.gov.in/
The date, timing and venue of the entrance test will be communicated to the candidates as per the hall ticket which can be down loaded. Reservation: The rule of reservation followed is 75% – SCs, 10% – STs and 15% – BCs, and among total seats 331/3rd percent of seats to women candidates and 3% to Physically challenged persons shall be reserved.
The 50 seats of repeaters are reserved for three categories of candidates. They are: 1) Repeaters of CSAT batch through the common entrance test conducted by the Study Circle. 2) CSAT batch who have cleared Prelims and also those who appeared for the Mains earlier, and 3) Those who have cleared Prelims but studied outside T. S. Study Circle. However, the administration may review the criteria for considering admission of these 50 seats after the entrance examination.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The annual income of one parent/guardian/family should not be more than Rs.3.00 lakhs for SCs and STs and Rs.2.00 lakh for OBCs.
- Aspirants should not be employed or pursuing any other courses in any educational institution and should have completed the course PG./ Professional degree by the time of applying for the coaching in TS Study Circle since this is a full-time residential course.
- Aspirants should not have availed any similar coaching sponsored by Government elsewhere.
- Aspirants should have completed their Post Graduation or Graduation in Professional Courses with a minimum mark of 50%.
- Aspirants should also be eligible as per the norms prescribed by the UPSC for taking the CSAT-2022 Exam.
- A candidate should possess any (3) years General degree / Profession Degree for admission.
TS SC Study Circle Entrance Exam Pattern: Admission to the Institute is strictly on the basis of merit order obtained in the Entrance Exam at state level. The Test paper will be in objective type with multiple choice questions on the pattern of UPSC Prelims and will have 100 questions on General Studies and 40 questions on CSAT-Paper 2 (Test of Reasoning, Mental ability and English comprehension).
Each question in General Studies carries 2 positive marks for correct answer and 2 1/2 positive marks in CSAT – Paper 2, thus the total marks to be valued is 300. There is negative mark awarding system which is 1/3rd mark for each wrong answer.
The entrance test is common for both the freshers as well as repeaters which will be held on 18.09.2022 at Hyderabad. Warangal and Nizamabad districts The venue of the entrance test will be communicated to the candidates as per the hall ticket which can be downloaded.

Selection Process: Admission is through entrance examination as per the General Studies syllabus of to Civil Services Prelims Exam which will be in English medium only. The date of Entrance exam will be held as per the schedule. The venue of the entrance test will be mentioned in the hall ticket which will be uploaded on the website one week before the entrance test. Entrance Test will be conducted at Hyderabad and Warangal.
Selection of candidates is through the entrance test only which will be conducted in two levels viz. Preliminary and Mains. So, Admission is through entrance examination as per the General Studies syllabus of the Civil Services Prelims Exam which will be in English medium only.
Candidates will be selected for Main examination on merit basis, separately for men and women at the rate of 1 : 3 i.e. overall 750 candidates will be selected following the rule of reservation of both Men and Women, and only these 750 candidates will be allowed to appear for the Main examination conducted by the TS Study Circle, Hyderabad, to select 250 candidates for admission.
The Mains examination will be conducted at Hyderabad district only. TA & DA @ Rs.500/- to each candidate will be paid only to those who appear for the Mains examination at Hyderabad district.
