Revised TSRTC Bus Fares 2023 are announced. Telangana State Road Transport Corporation, TSRTC has Increased bus fare and it will be implemented in Telangana from midnight onwards.
Telangana RTC has increased the minimum fare from Rs 5 to Rs 10 for the Pallevelugu and The Minimum fare Rs. 15/- for the express buses, the minimum fare for deluxe buses has been increased to Rs.20/-.
Minimum Charge for Super Luxury is Rs 25. Minimum Charge for Rajadhani, Vajra, Garuda, Garuda Plus is Rs 35. Minimum Charge for Vennela AC Sleeper is Rs.75/-. RTC increased the City Ordinary Bus pass Charge from Rs 700 to Rs.950/- and Metro Bus Pass from Rs 880 to Rs 1,070. The Metro Deluxe Bus Pass has been increased from Rs 990 to Rs 1180 while the Student Bus Pass has been hiked from Rs 390 to Rs 495.
A multifold increase in TSRTC Bus Pass Rates is a burden for students (poor and middle class), this may lead to more dropouts in schools and colleges. TSRTC burden on students by double the monthly pass charge tariffs from 160 to 450. Students daily got institutions for competitive, jobs exams. It huge burden for students.

Due to hike in diesel prices, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) passengers travelling long-distance will now face additional burden, as the corporation has decided to collect diesel cess from 09 June. The cess would be depending on the distance travelled.
- While in Express the cess would be Rs 5 to Rs 90 for 500 km.
- In Deluxe for 500 kms, the cess would be Rs 5 to Rs 125 and
- In Super Luxury the cess would be Rs 10 to Rs 130.
- In A/C services Rs 10 to Rs 170 for 500 kms.
The minimum fare of Rs 10 in Pallevelugu and City Ordinary services will continue to be the same so as to not burden the common man and short distance passengers. The additional diesel cess will be as follows depending on the distance travelled by a passenger. The diesel cess in Greater Hyderabad limits is not increased, thus passengers travelling in city buses are not affected.

With effect from April 9, the Corporation has levied a nominal diesel cess of Rs 2 per ticket in Pallevelugu and City ordinary services and Rs 5 per ticket in all other services irrespective of distance travelled. The long and medium distance passengers who will be travelling for more distance will have to diesel cess as per the distance travelled.
With this, it has become inevitable to levy diesel cess which will be more for passengers travelling more distance in buses and less for passengers travelling for a short distance in RTC buses.
The Corporation will be implementing the diesel cess in slabs of Rs 5 and above depending on the distance travelled by the passengers, in all types of services in Districts and long-distance services. Students will be obtaining subsidised bus passes from the Corporation for their journey to schools and colleges throughout the State. In view of the increased cost of diesel, it has been decided to increase the students bus pass fares in the twin cities and Rural areas of districts also – According to Sajjanar.

I. INTRODUCTION: The Government issued Orders vide G.Os 1st 86 2nd cited, permitting the Corporation to fix fares in respect of all types of stage carriages with a condition that fare increase shall be done judiciously, keeping in view passengers concerns and carefully analyzing the impact on Occupancy Ratio of the Corporation.
Corporation revised the fares during the year 2016 in respect of all types of Mofussil and City bus services and issued instructions vide Circular 3rd cited. The Corporation has not revised the student bus pass tariff in this fare revision.
The student bus pass tariff was last revised in 2013 vide circular cited at reference 4th Vide reference 5th cited, the Corporation has rationalized fares of City services (City Ordinary/City Suburban, Metro Express and Metro Deluxe) of Greater Hyderabad and Warangal Tri-cities due to non availability of small change with the commuter or the service conductor.
Consequent to the fare revision, during the financial year 2016-17 the Corporation realized revenue of Rs.4233.05 Crs as against the expenditure of Rs.4982.33 Crs. Similarly, the revenue realized for the year 2017-18 was Rs.4570.37 Crs as against the expenditure of Rs. 5319.27 Crs and incurred loss of Rs. 748.90 Crs.
Further, in the month of October 2018, the Corporation released an Interim relief of 16% to the employees towards RPS 2017, with an additional burden of Rs. 133.07 Crs up to March 2019 on the Corporation.
In addition to this the prices of the HSD oil continued to rise regularly resulting in an additional financial burden on the Corporation. The revenue realized for the financial year 2018-19 is Rs. 4882.72 Crs as against the expenditure of Rs. 5811.39 Crs and the loss incurred was Rs. 928.67 Crs.
The revenue realized during the year 2019-20 upto August-2019 is Rs. 2057.87 Crs as against the expenditure of Rs. 2361.25 Crs, thus, the Corporation sustained a loss of Rs. 303.39 Crs.
The Government has reviewed the financial status of the Corporation, in detail and considering all the factors explained above, has permitted for revision of fares for all types of services of the Corporation by increasing the existing basic fare by 20 Ps/KM for all services.
It was also permitted to increase the Students bus pass tariff in the same proportion in which the existing basic fare is being increased for the respective product (Pallevelugu, City Ordinary, Metro Express).
Accordingly the existing basic fares and minimum fares for different services operated by Corporation are being revised. The existing fare structure for Metro Luxury and City Sheetal type services will continue. The above mentioned rounding off fares shall be carried out after adding Toll Plaza tariff, Passenger Cess, amenities, GST on AC services etc. to get final fare.
II. Pallevelugu and Semi Express Fare Structure:
The existing stage structure of 5 KMs will continue. The minimum fare of Pallevelugu Services is revised to Rs. 10/- from the existing Rs.6/- in order to avoid small change problem with passengers 86 conductors.
The fares may be rounded off and fixed at the nearest multiple of Rs.5/- after adding the toll plaza tariff and other tariffs if any after developing the necessary software by IT department.

III. City Fares :
- The existing stage structure of 2 Kms shall continue for City Operations.
- The fares are rounded off to nearest multiple of Rs.5/- to avoid change problem as was rationalized in January-2018 vide Circular cited at reference 4th.
- The minimum fare for City Ordinary is fixed at Rs.10/- to avoid problem of availability of change with passengers.
- Fare structure for City Ordinary, Metro Express 86 Metro Deluxe up to 20 stages is enclosed at ANNEXURE -B. Fare structure for beyond 20 stages shall be appropriately fixed by GHZ

IV. Computation Of Fares For Special Type Services: The fares for these services are computed based upon the distance i.e., by multiplying the distance with basic fare and then rounding off to next higher Re.1/- to get base fare.
V. CHILD FARE: The child fare issued through TIMs shall be half the adult fare duly rounded off to the next higher multiple of one rupee for Pallevelugu and the applicable child fares are given as at ANNEXURE – A. In case of Express, Deluxe 86 Super Luxury, the child fares shall be rounded to next higher multiple of Rs.5/-. Rounding off of fares for child shall be carried out as in the case of adult fares.
VI. SPECIAL OPERATIONS : For special services operated on occasions like Fairs 86 Festivals, weekends etc., special Fares shall be charged not exceeding 1.5 (One and Half) times the normal fare of the type of service operated.
VII. In respect of services (Express, Deluxe & Super Luxury) operated to Srisailam, the procedure enumerated vide Letter No.P5/160(01)/2016- 0PD(P), Dt.30.01.2016 shall be followed by adopting revised fares as per this Circular.
VIII. Inter – State Services:
- The above revised fares are applicable to all services on inter-State routes for the portion of the route lying in Telangana.
- The basic fares of other states shall be adopted for the portion of the journey lying in the respective state. The Depot Managers operating services on the inter-State routes on reciprocal basis with other STUs, are advised to send the copies of the revised fare table to their counter parts and ensure collection of uniform fares on those services.
- Further, care should be taken to ensure that there is no variation in the fare structure on the common sector of the routes operated by different Depots
IX. Student Bus Passes:
The student bus passes tariff was last revised in 2013. It is decided to revise the existing tariff of Students bus passes various types and denominations for City 86 Mofussil type (including district passes). The revised Students Bus Pass tariff is shown at ANNEXURE- C.Annexure-c Revised Student Bus Pass Tariff W.E.F.03.12.2019

X. Bus Pass Tariff To General Commuters & NGOs :
The airport Metro express passes and normal Metro Express services passes are clubbed to have a single type of pass for all Metro Express services. The revised Bus Pass tariff for different types of services for general Commuters and NGOs shall be as at ANNEXURE- D.

XI. GENERAL
a. Toll Plaza Tariff Communicated Vide Circular No.42/2014-OPD(C), Dt.28.11.2014 shall continue until further revision.
b. Collection of Passenger Cess in special type services @ Re.1.00 per Passenger per Single Journey as communicated vide Circular No. 28/2013 OPD(P), Dt.01.07.2013 shall continue until further revision.
c. Applicable GST of 5% of ticket fare of all A.C. services communicated vide Accounts Circular No.4/2017-18, Dt.28.06.2017 shall continue.
d. CAT CARD/VANITHA CARD: The existing CAT card holders are allowed 10% of concession till their validity only.
“The CAT Card fare shall be rounded off to next lower multiple of the rupee if the decimal portion of CAT Card fare arrived is 0.49 Ps or less and to the next higher multiple of one rupee if the decimal portion of CAT Card fare arrived is 0.50 Ps or above.”
XVI. CONCLUSION : The proposed fares will be effective from the first departure of all types of services on 03.12.2019. It means the services which depart from any Depots on 03.12.2019 (i.e., from 00.00 Hrs) are to be departed with revised fares as shown above. All the Unit Officers are hereby directed to take immediate action to prepare MTD 141 Cards and Fare-Tables for each service in accordance with these instructions.
The night-out 86 long distance services which start before 00.00 Hrs. of 02.12.2019/03.12.2019 and continuing without break shall allow passengers on the old fares only, including the passengers boarding at intermediate stations. In case of advance reservations, the crew shall be advised not to collect the difference of fare from the Passengers who reserved their seats prior to revision of fares w.e.f. 03.12.2019.
Does MMTS – RTC COMBO pass valid in Metro Express buses or not…..?

Today morning, i availed a pass at BHARATH NAGAR Railway station for Rs. 1090/-, but the conductor in METRO Express says, it is only valid in Ordinary Buses.
Please do confirm that, does it valid or not.
