TSVU PGCET 2020 for MVSc Course Admissions

Telangana State Veterinary University has given PG Entrance Test 2020 notification and applications are invited from the candidates belonging to Telangana State for 85% seats.

The 15% of seats are open for candidates of out side of Telengana provided the latter appear for Entrance Test conducted by TSVU. /note: not official dates/

Sri PV Narsimha Rao Telangana State University for Veterinary, Animal and Fishery Sciences has uploaded TSVU PGCET 2020 application form for SPVNRTSUVAFS M.V.Sc Course Admissions.

Candidates who are interested in join into MVSc Course they should appear the TSVU PG Entrance Test 2020. The entrance test would be held on 22-12-2020 for Admission into M.V.Sc/M.Tech courses.

TSVU PGCET 2020 for MVSc Course Admissions

Course Details:
 M.V.Sc/M.Tech (Dairy Technology/Dairy Microbiology) courses
Number of seats available for admission: 28 seats  are  available  for  admission to  M.V.Sc.

The details of seats available for fresh candidates in various major fields of study

Qualification for admission:
Candidates seeking admission into any of the following Master’s Degree courses must have passed  the relevant Bachelor’s Degree examination specified against each course from Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University /ANGR Agricultural University  or  an institution accredited by ICAR/VCI.

1. M.V.Sc Course: B.V.Sc & A.H

Age: The upper age limit is 40 years as on 01-07-2020

Criteria for selection TSVU PGCET 2020:

The selection of the candidates for admission to M. V. Sc. shall be based on the previous academic record (B. V. Sc & A.H –30%, Intermediate 10+2-10%, Tenth Class (S S C) 5% and achievements in Extra Curricular activities 5% and performance in Entrance test 50%.

Weightage as indicated below will be given subject to a maximum of 5 marks on production of certificates for achievement (Prizes/Medals) in NCC/ NSS/ Sports/ Games/ Cultural/ Literary activities at B. V. Sc. & A.H.

International Level – 03 marks,
National Level – 02 marks,
Inter University Level- 01 mark.
In case of NCC candidates
C. Certificate 02 marks
B. Certificate 01 mark

II). The entrance test shall be a comprehensive one, covering all relevant subjects prescribed for the concerned Bachelor degree requirements of this University as per VCI MSVE-2008/ICAR Regulations.

The Entrance Examination paper contains only 200 multiple choice questions. The candidates have to mark answers by darkening circles on OMR sheet. The candidates getting 40% or more marks in entrance test only are eligible for admission.

However, in case of SC/ST/PH candidates, there are no minimum qualifying marks and candidates are admitted to the extent of seats reserved for them. SC/ST/PH candidates claiming seats under general category have to obtain at least 40% marks in the entrance test.

Note: The marks obtained in entrance test shall be considered for tie breaking. For further tie breaking date of birth shall be considered and older candidate shall be preferred.

III). The candidates applying for admission should appear for Entrance Test as well as for counselling at their own cost.

IV), Information about the qualifying candidates in entrance test will be displayed on University website http;//tsvu.nic.in.
Counselling for qualified candidates shall be held on from 10.30 AM at Address hall, Administrative Office, SPVNR TSU VAFS, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. Sliding option can be exercised only once by any candidate. The qualified candidates are advised to come prepared to stay one more day

Selected candidates shall have to produce all necessary original Certificates including those of educational qualifications, pay the prescribed fee and register the courses at the concerned college by the prescribed date. Failure to do so entails forfeiture of claim for seat.

How to apply for TSVU PGCET 2020:

The applications shall be downloaded from the University website, http://tsvu.nic.in and duly filled in application along with attested copies of required certificates and a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.700/- towards Registration in case of SC/ ST/ PH candidates and Rs.1400/- in case of all other categories drawn from any nationalized bank in favour of Comptroller, SPVNRTSUVAFS, payable at Rajendranagar, Hyderabad,

should reach the Registrar, SPVNRTSUVAFS, Administrative Office, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad- 500 030 on or before 07-12-2020 by 4.00 p.m. either in person or by Registered Post with Acknowledgement due.

Application received after the due date will summarily be rejected. Candidates who are in employment should send their applications through proper channel. The University is not responsible for any postal delay.
Cover with application should be super scribed with “Application for M. V. Sc. Admissions”.

List of Enclosures:

The candidates should submit copies of the following certificates along with the application. Documents enclosed to the application shall not be returned. Hence candidates are advised to enclose only copies of the following certificates:

a) Nativity Certificate issued by the Tahsildar.
b) A Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- for SC/ ST/ PH categories and Rs.1000/- for all other categories, drawn on any nationalized Bank, in favour of the Comptroller, SPVNR TSU VAFS, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad payable at Hyderabad. .
c) Memoranda of marks (all years) obtained at the qualifying (B. V. Sc. & A. H. level) examination or transcript, 10+2 (Intermediate) and Tenth class examinations.
d) Provisional/ degree certificates of the qualifying examination.
e) Study Certificates from the Heads of recognized Institutions or Nativity Certificate and a certificate from the employer as the case may be (Vide Appendix). Those who have a break in the years of study for reasons other than failure or those who passed the examination by private study should submit certificates to that effect.
f) Social Status Certificates issued by the competent authority in case of candidates belonging to BC/SC/ST. The admissions given under this quota shall be provisional till the genuineness of the social status claim of the candidate is certified by the respective Departments of the Government.
g) Certificate towards achievements at B. V. Sc. & A.H. level in NCC/ NSS/ Sports/ Games/ Cultural/ Literary activities at International (Representing Nation)/ National level (Representing State) Inter- University level, if applicable.
h) Date of birth certificate or S.S.C certificate where date of birth is recorded.
i) Physical disability certificate, if any
j) Certificate showing the formula for conversion of OGPA/CGPA into marks in respect of candidates who passed their examination from universities other than S. V. Veterinary University and A.N.G.R Agricultural University.
k) Two self addressed (with pin code) envelopes affixing postage stamps of Rs.5/- on each.
Note: All the originals of the above certificates should be produced at the time of counseling.


1. Hall Ticket shall be presented to the Supervising Officer at the Entrance Test Centre. Candidate without the Hall Ticket shall not be allowed for the entrance test.
2. No travelling expenses will be paid for appearing for the entrance test.
3. Violation of any instruction and adoption of any malpractices in the Examination Hall shall render in cancellation of his/her answer-script and forfeiture of his/her claims for appearing in the Entrance Test. The decision of the Chief Superintendent of Entrance Test Centre shall be final in all these matters.
4. The candidates will not be admitted to the examination after the first 10 minutes and will not be allowed to leave the examination hall till the first half an hour is over.
5. Mark your Question Booklet Series on OMR Answer sheet by darkening the appropriate circle with Black Ball Point pen Only.
6. The candidate has to select the correct answer and mark it on the OMR Answer sheet by darkening the appropriate circle for the respective question by using black ball point pen only.
7. Issue of Hall Tickets and appearance in the test does not automatically entitle a candidate for admission.
8. Cover containing the filled in application should be super scribed with “APPLICATION FOR M. V. Sc. ADMISSIONS”
