The National Testing Agency conducted AISSEE in the paper-pen mode across India at 381 centres, located in 176 cities for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 of the Sainik Schools.
The exam featured multiple-choice questions. For class 6, a total of 125 questions were asked for a total of 300 marks. For class 9, the total number of questions is 150 consisting of a total mark of 400.
There is no negative mark for a wrong response. The question paper was available in 13 languages- English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odiya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
