AP AGRI POLYCET Counselling or AP Polytechnic Admission 2024 notification will be released by the Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University on its official website

https://angrau.ac.in/ for Agriculture, Veterinary, Horticulture and Fisheries courses. Students who qualified in the AP Agriculture POLYCET can check details and completed the combined admission counselling registration process as per the schedule.

After Agri POLYCET ranks are declared, ANGRAU shall issue a separate admission counselling notification. Candidates who are desirous to join in Diploma courses offered by the four Universities i.e., Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University,

Dr. Ysr Horticultural University, Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University And Andhra Pradesh Fisheries University shall have to register in response to the press notification for consideration of their candidature for admission through online counselling

Candidates not appeared and/or not qualified in AGRI POLYCET are not eligible for admission into any of the Diploma courses offered by the above four Universities.

Every care will be taken to avoid errors in the valuation of answer sheets, tabulation of results and ranking of the candidates. Hence, request for revaluation or re-totaling will not be entertained under any circumstances.

AP Polytechnic Diploma Courses Admission Counselling 2024

Admission into Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Diploma Courses sanctioned during the academic year 2024 will be done on the basis of AGRI POLYCET rank.

Mere appearing for AGRI POLYCET and obtaining a merit rank does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission automatically unless the candidate fulfills the requirements laid down for admission.

In this admission stream process, the Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University has released 1st phase counselling notification for admission into above-said courses. In this notification, First phase counselling schedule has been announced by the ANGRAU officials and agriculture courses admissions through counselling process was held.

AP Agricultural University has given the First Phase Counselling Schedule for admission into 2-year Agricultural Polytechnic, Seed Technology course and 3-year Agricultural Engineering courses for 2024-2024. The counselling process will be started.

The GPA wise counselling schedule indicating the region wise and category wise of the candidates called for counselling and the detailed counselling instructions are available on ANGRAU Agricultural University official website.

Candidates are advised to download and go through them carefully before attending the counselling. The admissions counselling will be held at the Auditorium, RARS, Lam Farm, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility:

• The candidates who wish to seek admission into Diploma Courses should have rank in AGRI POLYCET-2024 conducted by ANGRAU, Lam, Guntur on 01.07.2024.
• Candidate should have passed SSC Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, A.P./T.S. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, A.P./T.S. such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), Telangana Open School Society (TOSS).
• Age Limit: Candidates who wish to seek admission into these courses shall have to complete 15 years of age as on 31-08-2024 with an upper age limit of 22 years (Born in between 31.08.2000 and 31.08.2007).

AP AGRI POLYCET Counseling Fee:

Payment of counseling fee for SC/ST/PH candidates is Rs.400/- (for all other candidates Rs.600/-). The applicant has to select the Rupay Debit Card/UPI/Debit Card /Credit Card (Visa / Master Card)/Internet Banking option to pay the fee and follow the online instruction to complete the payment of the fee.

If the admitted candidate cancels his/her seat before the closure of admissions for the Academic Year 2024-23 an amount of Rs. 1,000/- shall be collected as processing fee.

The remaining fees already paid during admission shall be refunded. 3. If the admitted candidate cancels his/her seat after closure of admissions process the candidate has to forfeit the fees already paid and in addition, he/she has to pay processing of Rs. 1,000/-.

List of Certificates:

Candidates are required to bring the Original Certificates along with two sets of Xerox copies, necessary fee and three latest passport size photographs and these photographs are required to be affixed on admission processing and other forms.

• SSC Memorandum of Marks or Equivalent Examination Certificate.
• AGRIPOLYCET Rank Card.
• Bonafide / Study Certificate from 4th to 10th Class.
• Transfer certificate of SSC
• Non-Municipal Area Study Certificate (FORM-I enclosed in this prospectus).
• The latest certified copy of the Social Status (Caste) Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of applicants belonging to EWS, Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
• Physically Challenged Certificate, if applicable.  Discharge Certificate and ID card for Children of Armed Personnel Certificate / Defense Personnel Certificate, if applicable.
• National Cadet Corps (NCC) certificate, if applicable.  Sports and Games Certificates (Form-I/Form-II/Form-III/Form-IV as applicable).
• Income certificate for the candidates who applied under EWS only

Residential Certificate: Applicants who have gap/break in the years of study for reasons other than failure or those who passed the qualifying examination by private study have to submit Residential Certificate issued by the Tahsildar.

In case, the applicant has resided in more than one place, a separate certificate from the respective Tahsildars should be furnished for such places of residence

Allocation of seats: Among the total seats, 85% of the seats are reserved for local candidates and 15% of seats are Un-Reserved and will be filled on merit basis.

Among the local 85 per cent, the seats shall be allotted on 42:22 ratio among Andhra University (AU) region (Former Districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam) and Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) region (Former Districts of Chittoor, Ananthapur, Kurnool, Kadapa and Nellore).

Reservation of Seats:

Reservation of seats for the candidates coming from Rural Area: Seventy five (75 %) of the seats in various diploma courses are reserved for the candidates who have studied for a minimum of 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas and Twenty five (25 %) seats are reserved for the candidates who have studied in Municipal area.

FORM-I: It is a proforma to be certified by the Headmaster of the School with his office seal that the candidate has studied for a minimum period of four years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas during their period of study from 1st class to 10th class (NonMunicipal Area Certificate).

If FORM-I is not filled in or duly signed by the concerned Head of Institution or officer along with office seal, the claim of the candidates will be rejected and will be considered under Municipal area (Urban).

Reservations: The rule of reservation will be followed as per the rules. The rules of reservation shall be followed as per the guidelines issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time.

The reservation for the Physically Challenged (PH @ 3%), Children of Armed Personnel (CAP @ 2%), National Cadet Corps (NCC @ 1%) and SPORTS (@0.5%) quota seats shall also be followed as per the rules.

The certificates of the candidates of above special categories shall be verified by the concerned officers and the seats will be allotted as per the priorities indicated by them during counseling. 10 per cent supernumerary seats shall be made available under EWS category. 33.33 % seats are reserved for girl students in all the above categories.

AGRICET, ECET, HORTICET stream admission

• 15% of total intake (of that corresponding academic year) of B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture is reserved for the passed-out Diploma holders for admission into First year B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture through AGRICET entrance examination conducted by ANGRAU.
• Candidates who have passed three years Diploma in Agricultural Engineering are eligible for admission into B. Tech (Ag. Engg.) through lateral entry via ECET.
• After completion of Diploma in Horticulture course under Dr. YSRHU, the students should appear for HORTICET Entrance exam conducted by Dr. YSR Horticultural University to get admission into B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture course. Around 92 seats of B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture course will be allotted to the Diploma in Horticulture candidates through HORTICET.
• As per GO Rt. No.17 Dt. 10-02-2021, Govt. of A. P, Permission has been accorded to Universities, Colleges and Institutes etc., to admit 2 year diploma holders awarded by ANGRAU, Dr YSR HU & SVVU into B.Sc. Biology stream programmes/combinations, B. Voc. Programmes in Agriculture and Horticulture programmes and other relevant disciplines as well as B. Com and B. A without Mathematics and Statistics

Universities are intended to impart education to students, undertake research and extension activities. Hence, University does not guarantee any employment to the students who completes the course. ANGRAU reserves the right to modify or cancel the notification without any prior notice. Candidates are required to read the PROSPECTUS thoroughly before applying.

The guidelines issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time shall be followed scrupulously including the reservations for EWS.

The University shall send SMS to the applicant’s registered mobile for the purposes related to counseling. Hence, the candidates are informed to mention their personal mobile numbers but not the mobile numbers of relatives, friends, net/online/Xerox centers etc. Once submitted, the mobile number cannot be changed.

The selected candidates for admission into Diploma courses of ANGRAU shall have to pay the prescribed fees immediately at the time of admission. Once payment is made, it cannot be refunded under any circumstances, hence, the candidates should ensure that he/she fulfils the specified eligibility criteria before submitting the online application for counseling.

Applicants should exercise web options through online at specified dates for choosing their preferences with respect to Diploma programmes and Polytechnics. SMS alert shall be sent to registered mobile number for this purpose.

Candidates are informed that mere submission of an online application and attending for counseling does not guarantee seat allotment.  Candidates called for Manual/Special/mop up counseling will have to attend at their own cost only. Either Parent/ Guardian of the candidate shall be allowed for Manual/ Special/ Mop up counseling. he candidate who secures a seat should submit the all the certificates in Original along with the prescribed fees at the time of admission either through online counseling or at the time Manual/ Special/ Mop up counseling.

The certificates of the candidates under special categories (PH, CAP, NCC & SPORTS) shall be verified by the authorities concerned.

The University will not interfere in the process of preparation of priority/merit lists. The University allots seats to the candidates based on the priorities indicated by the competent authorities.

The Counseling/Verification under special categories (PH, CAP, NCC & SPORTS) will be held in the presence of authorities concerned and seats will be allotted as per the priorities indicated by the officers concerned.

In case, the information furnished or the certificates uploaded by the candidates are found to be false, the University will take appropriate action against the individuals concerned and his/her application will be summarily rejected.

The candidate are thoroughly advised to visit the University website (www.angrau.ac.in) regularly for updated and latest information about counselling. Information related to counseling procedure shall be displayed on the University website (www.angrau.ac.in).

No separate notifications shall be issued further and hence applicants are advised to visit the website regularly. Student can approach any of the nearest AP online /Help line centers.

Hostel facility: Accommodation for students shall be provided on payment basis in both Government and affiliated polytechnics subject to the availability.
