Commissioner and Director of School Education, RMSA, AP has given the AP Model Schools PGT Recruitment 2022 notification on its official website, cse.ap.gov.in and they will invite the online applications from the eligible and interested candidates for filling up the Post Graduate Teacher posts in Model Schools of AP.
This recruitment age limit, qualification, selection procedure how to apply and more details are provided for information purpose. The rule of reservation, structure and syllabus for principle post shall be made available in the APMS website.

Eligibility Criteria for AP Model Schools PGT Recruitment
Age:: The maximum age limit is 44 and should not be less than 18 years as on the date of issuance of notifcation. However, in case of SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates the maximum age limit shall be 49 years and in respect of Physically Challenged candidates the maximum age limit shall be 54 years.
Upper age limit for Ex-service Men: A person, who worked in the Armed Forces of the Indian Union, shall be allowed to deduct the length of the service rendered by him in the Armed Forces and three years from his age for the purpose of the maximum age limit will be taken into consideration.
Qualification Details
(i) Post Graduate Teacher: A. Academic Qualifications: Must possess two-year integrated Post Graduate Course from the Regional Institute of Education of NCERT or Master’s Degree from UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as specified as under:
a. PGT (English) -M.A. in English.
b. PGT(Telugu) – M.A. in Telugu.
c. PGT (Civics) – M.A. in Political Science / Public Administration/ Politics.
d. PGT (Commerce) – M.Com. in Commerce with Accountancy / Cost Accounting / Financial Accountancy as a main subject / Master of Financial Analysis provided having B.Com in Graduation level.
Note: Holders of M. Com in Applied / Business Economics are not eligible for the post of PGT-Commerce.
e. PGT (Economics) – M.A., in Economics / Applied Economics / Business Economics / Rural Development / Mathematical Economics / Econometrics.
f. PGT (Maths) – M.A.; / M.Sc. in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Applied Statistics / M.Sc, with Pure Mathematics / M.Sc. Maths & Computer Science / A.O. Maths. And should have studied the subject Mathematics at their Graduation level.
g. PGT (Physics) – M.Sc, in Physics /Electronics /Applied Physics / Nuclear Physics/M.Sc (Tech) Engineering Physics with any specialization /M.Sc..(Tech) Instrumentation/Space Physics/M.Sc. Technical Engineering Physics /M.Sc. (Tech) Engineering Physics /M.Sc. (Tech) Applied Electronics /M.Sc. (Tech) Electronics /M.Sc. PGT (Chemistry) – M.Sc, Chemistry with specialization in inorganic / Organic/Physical Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry/M.Sc, with Nuclear Chemistry / Environmental Chemistry/Mineral Chemistry / Fertilizers and Agro Chemicals/Phyto Chemistry & ForestProducts / Chemistry of Foods and Drugs/Synthetic Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry / M.Sc, Chemistry (Associate ship Exam in Chemistry) M.Sc, Chemistry with specialization in Petro Chemicals / Natural Products / Polymer Chemistry / Drugs and Pharmaceuticals / Forest Products Chemistry And
Should have studied the subject Chemistry at their Graduation Level.
i. PGT (Botany) – M.Sc, in Botany / Life Sciences / Bio Sciences / Genetics /Micro Biology / Bio Technology / Molecular Bio / Plant Physiology / 6 Biological Sciences / Plant Sciences / Environmental Biology / Modern Biology/Experimental Biology/ Marine Biology. And Should have studied the subject Botany at their Graduation level,
j. PGT (Zoology) – M.Sc, in Zoology / Life Sciences / Bio Sciences / Genetics / Micro Biology / Bio-Technology / Molecular Bio / Plant Physiology / Animal Biology / Environmental Biology / Modern Biology / Animal Sciences / Experimental Biology And Should have studied the subject Zoology at their Graduation level.
B. Professional Qualifications: Must possess B.Ed recognized by NCTE (or) equivalent degree with Methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.

Selection Procedure for AP Model Schools PGT Teachers Recruitment
Candidates shall be selected on the basis of percentage of marks obtained:
- i. In respect of PGT – concerned subject in the PG and the total percentage of marks obtained in B.Ed. Methodology
- ii. In respect of TGT – total percentage of marks obtained in the Bachelors Degree and the total percentage of marks obtained in B.Ed.. Methodology
- iii. In respect of PGT and TGT, the candidates who have served as guest faculty will be assigned the rank prior to the non-guest faculty.
For Example: Candidate having percentage of marks 55% with the experience of guest faculty should be above the candidate having percentage of marks with 60% without experience. For the purpose of deciding ranks to the candidates with equal percentage of marks, the following procedure shall be followed in that order:
a. Date of Birth: The elder candidate will be given higher rank over a younger candidate;
b. If the Date of Birth is also same, but the candidates belong to different genders, a female candidate will be given a higher rank over a male candidate;
c. If two or more candidates have same date of birth, and no female candidate is one of them, or more than one female candidate are available, then candidates belonging to the following communities (in that order) shall be given a higher rank:
1) ST
2) SC
3) BC A
4) BC B
5) BC C
6) BC D
7) BC E
d. Marks obtained in the X Class or equivalent examination.

This is O. Selvakumar(M.Sc, B.Ed) working as a teaching faculty in Biology(10+2) level in a CBSE school. I had post graduation in Botany. At my graduation level I had the combination of Bio-technology, Botany and Chemistry subjects. I had also qualified in APSET(Paper – II) and CTET(Paper – II) Mathematics and Science.
