How to Apply for APRCET 2020: Applications are invited for admission into M.Phil. / Ph.D. (Full-Time / Part-Time) programmes offered in Andhra University Campus Colleges and Research Centres in affiliated colleges. Eligible candidates may submit their applications through online mode only. Application Registration and Processing fee of Rs.1000/- (Rs.700/- for SC/ST/PHC) for each subject may be paid through Andhra Bank (billdesk) / Payment Gateway (Credit/debit card)
The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has released the online application form for the Research Common Entrance Test (RCET) at its official website, sche.ap.gov.in. The online registration for the same will begin on September 16 and will conclude on October 10.
Steps to apply for APRCET 2020:

Step 4: Click on fee payment, fill the given form
Step 5: Make the payment, submit
AP RCET 2020 Application fee:
Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,300 while for reserved category candidates the fee is Rs 900.
AP RCET 2020 Eligibility criteria:
Candidates must possess a master’s degree with at least 55 per cent marks.
For reserved category candidates, the minimum marks required are 50 per cent. The state-level exam is conducted by Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam on behalf of APSCHE. It will be held from November 8 to 12. Those who clear the exam will be able to take admission in PhD and MPhil programmes across the state.
The fee of Application is Rs 1000/- (SC/ST/PH-Rs.700/-)
AP RCET – AP Research Entrance test 2020:
On behalf of the A.U, Directorate of Admissions, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam invites applications from eligible candidates for admission through Andhra University Research Common Entrance Test (APRCET)-2020 into M. Phil. (Full-time /Part-time) / Ph.D. program (Full-Time / Part-Time) in the subject areas indicated in Annexure- I, for the year 2020 offered in campus colleges, P.G centers, and recognized research centers in affiliated colleges.
Candidates are advised to go through the Information Brochure carefully and apply for admission under the appropriate category of reservation by ticking in the relevant box in the application form. Requests for inclusion or change of reservation category once claimed will not be entertained under any circumstances. The applications will be processed as per the information provided by the candidate at the time of submitting the application and the admission will be subject to the validity of the information provided and vacancy position in that category.
PhD Entrance Exam: From November 8
Candidates having PG degree in Science, Arts, Law, Pharmacy and Engineering Courses and seeking admission into M.Phil. or Ph.D. programs must appear for the ENTRANCE TEST (APRCET 2020) conducted by the Directorate of Admissions. Eligible candidates seeking admission into Part-Time programmes under Executive category are exempted from appearing of APRCET. The P.G. Degrees of all U.G.C. recognized Universities in India will be treated as equivalent to P.G. Degrees of Andhra University. However, PG Degrees obtained through distance mode from Universities recognized by DEC only be recognized.
Candidates who have already appeared or appeared for the final semester or final year examinations of the qualifying degree in May / June – 2020 can also apply for APRCET-2020. But such candidates shall be considered for admission only if they obtain PG degree by the time of admission. Allowing a candidate for an entrance test or counseling does not guarantee any right of admission into the course of study.
Candidates who wish to apply for M.Phil / Ph.D. under the extramural category / Project fellows / Faculty Development Programme / CSIR-UGC-NET fellowship holders / Inspire Fellowship / Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship to have to apply in the months of December/ June every year. Admissions shall be given to such candidates in January / July. A separate notification shall be given for such candidates and it will be hosted on the website, it will be expected end of the 3rd week of June 2020.
Admission is subject to availability of seats in a department. The tentative number of seats available for each department and roaster point is are given in Annexure-II. However, the seat may be converted to other categories as per rule of reservation of A.P. Govt. if the candidate is not available in that category. The university reserves the right to fill or not to fill the seats announced for any subject/programme without assigning any reasons.
Candidates from outside the state of Andhra Pradesh seeking M.Phil./PhD admissions will be considered only after the list of eligible candidates from within (Local / Non-local) the state is exhausted. M.Phil. and PhD admissions for candidates from foreign countries will be given as extra seats in consultation with Director, International Relations, A.U and approval of DRC of respective departments. A separate fee structure is applicable to such foreign students.
Payments made towards registration fee / Late fee / Processing fee / Course fee are non-refundable. Candidates admitted into M.Phil./Ph.D. programme by furnishing false information are liable for prosecution and cancellation of seats without any notice. The decision of the University is final. The provision of hostel accommodation is subject to the availability of rooms for full-time scholars. No Research Scholarships will be awarded by the University. However, eligible candidates belonging to SC, ST, BC, Minority and PH categories may apply for financial assistance to Social Welfare Departments, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
All disputes whether regular or consumer courts pertaining to APRCET-2020 shall be within the court’s jurisdiction of Visakhapatnam only. The number of seats available in each department and in each program and reservation roaster point is given on the website: www.audoa.in. However, if the candidates in that roaster point are not available then the conversion is done as per A.P. Govt., reservation rules.
Research Programmes for the award of M. Phil. or PhD degrees can be pursued in the Faculties of Arts, Law, Science, Engineering and Pharmaceutical Sciences by candidates possessing minimum qualifications prescribed in the brochure.
FULL-TIME M. Phil. / Ph. D. Programme:
Post-graduate degree holders with at least 55% of marks (50% in the case of SC/ST Candidates) or equivalent CGPA in the concerned subject or in an allied subject or any other PG Degree recognised by the University as equivalent thereto prescribed in eligibility criteria can apply for full-time M. Phil. / PhD degree. They must qualify in APRCET-2020.
PART-TIME M. Phil / Ph. D. Programme:
In-Service candidates satisfying the above eligibility conditions can apply for part-time. Admission into part-time programmes will be made by preparing merit order by considering rank and service weightage.
1. Common Entrance test (APRCET 2020) for admission into M. Phil & Ph.D. programs in various Science, Arts, Law, Pharmacy and Engineering Basic Sciences and humanities in Engineering will be conducted by the Directorate of Admissions in VISAKHAPATNAM only.
2. Test codes, names of the departments, M.Phil / Ph.D. programs offered and the respective eligibility criteria are given in Annexure – I of the APRCET 2020 Information Brochure.
3. APRCET 2020 for each subject/department consists of one paper with multiple choice objective type questions including oral examination.
4. This Paper contains 20 questions in Research Methodology with 20 marks, 70 questions in concerned subject with 70 marks
5. After the written examination there is an oral examination for 10 marks will be conducted in Departments by the concerned DRC.
6. The minimum qualifying marks in APRCET-2020 is 25 marks and no minimum marks for SC/ST/PHC category students.
7. Based on the number of seats available and the number of applications received, the University reserves the right to conduct or not to conduct the test.
1. All candidates qualified in the Entrance Test will be awarded APRCET-2020 test-wise Rank as per marks secured in the test and Interview.
2. In case of a tie between candidates securing the same marks the order of merit will be decided on the basis of marks obtained in Part-II of the Test. In case of a further tie, the marks obtained by the candidate in Part-I shall be taken into account. If the tie continues the date of birth of the candidate shall be taken into account, with priority to the older candidate.

4. There is no provision for revaluation or personal verification of the answer sheet.
HOW TO Apply for APRCET 2020:
Andhra Pradesh Research Common Entrance Test, APRCET 2020 is scheduled to be conducted by Andhra University from November 8, 2109. The online application for the same had commenced on September 16 and is to conclude October 10, 2020. Interested and eligible candidates who aspire to seek admission to full-time or part-time PhD or M.Phil. courses from 14 universities, research centres and affiliated colleges present across the state of Andhra Pradesh can apply for AP RCET 2020 on the official website, sche.ap.gov.in. Steps to apply and the direct link to the APRCET 2020 online application has been given below. The last date for online application submission with a late fee of Rs 2000 is October 16, 2020.
Steps to apply for APRCET 2020: Log on to sche.ap.gov.in. Click on the purple-coloured tab saying AP RCET – 18 Research Common Entrance Test. Alternatively, click on the direct link given here. Detailed APRCET notification can be read here. Click on Application from the top menu. Make fee payment first and then proceed towards the Online application. Enter all the needful information, upload necessary documents and submit the online application form. Print the application form and payment receipt for future reference.
Submission of filled in application through online: Applications should be submitted through online only. For online submission, visit the Website www.audoa.in or www.andhrauniversity.edu.in/doa A candidate has to pay Rs. 1000/- (Rs.700/- for SC/ST/PHC) for each subject and for each additional programme the processing fee is of Rs.500/- additional.
Bank charges are extra of Registration and Application Processing Fee (and late fee if applicable) by opting any of the following modes of payments:
(a) Andhra Bank (Bill desk) (b) Debit / Credit Card / Net Banking. After filling the online Application form with the required details, verify all the details carefully and press the ‘Submit’ button. Filled in Application Form will be generated that contains Application number along with filled details. Take a print out of filled in ‘Online Application Form’. Use the application number for future correspondence till the admission process is completed.
Candidates applying for Part-Time programmes must submit the printed copy of online application along with Photostat copies of Service Certificate and No-objection Certificate immediately.
