DOST third phase admissions
- The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) on Monday announced the schedule for intra-college third phase degree admissions through Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST) 2023.
- This opportunity will be given to students who have already confirmed their seat in the college and would like to change the course/combination/medium within the college.
- Candidates can exercise web options from December 15 to 17 on the official DOST website https://dost.cgg.gov.in.
- The intra-college phase seats will be announced on December 18.
Admissions to degree colleges made easy in Telangana through online applications: All admissions to degree-level courses in colleges will be conducted online in the T State. Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST) has been introduced and admissions will be conducted through DOST.
The introduction of DOST, students need not go to colleges for paying admission fee. Moreover, they can select the college where they want to study. Another advantage with online admissions is it will check irregularities in the fee reimbursement scheme. Online admissions are currently in vogue in the state for engineering and medical college seats. The same system will be introduced for degree colleges too.
Admission and tuition fees for degree courses will be decided by the state government as in the case of professional courses. The fee will be less in degree colleges located in rural areas. The fee will be fixed in consultation with the managements of respective degree colleges. The government will classify degree colleges as autonomous, premier, minority and other.
Those who have graduated from degree colleges are finding it hard to get jobs. The present graduate education system should be revamped in such a way that students can get jobs.
