How to Apply for IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Test, The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announced a modification in the eligibility criteria of B.Ed. program. University invites applications for admission to B.Ed. for January session through entrance test which will be conducted as per its schedule. The B.Ed. the programme structure is as per NCTE B.Ed.

Curriculum Framework 2014. Indira Gandhi National Open University or IGNOU has announced the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program for the January session. The applicants can submit the forms through online mode only at https://onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in/admission/.

The B.Ed. The program offered by IGNOU is an innovative program utilizing self-instructional materials and information technology along with interactive personal contact programs.  IGNOU’s B.Ed program will be for two years and will be taught in English and Hindi. IGNOU’s B.Ed  programme is a judicious mix of theoretical and practical courses to develop in a practicing teacher appropriate knowledge, skills, understanding and attitudes. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria of the IGNOU B.Ed. programme advertised by the open varsity can apply online through the official website, ignou.ac.in. IGNOU B.Ed Admission Eligibility criteria: At least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity. Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with a specialization in Science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualifications equivalent thereto. and

The following categories are eligible to be students of B.Ed. (ODL):

  • Trained in-service teachers in elementary education
  • Candidates who have completed an NCTE recognized teacher education program through face-to-face mode.
  • IGNOU Launches Certificate Programme On ‘Peace Studies and Conflict Management’ For Jail Inmates
  • The reservation and relaxation of 5% marks in minimum eligibility will be provided to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PWD candidates as per the rules of the Central Government.
  • The Reservation to Kashmiri Migrants and War window candidates will be provided as per University Rules.

How to Apply for IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Test: The Student handbook and application form is available on the website only (online mode), candidates may apply through online mode. The filled-in entrance test application form may be submitted through online mode on the IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in for appearing in the Entrance Test.

Instruction to Fill IGNOU Online Application 2021

  1. If you are a first-time applicant you are advised to click the available programme tab on the homepage of the Online Admission System and select the desired programme and carefully read the details of programme including eligibility criteria, fee details, duration, etc.
  2. You are also requested to download the Common Prospectus and read carefully the Rules of the University (Section 06) as mentioned in the common prospectus. You may also read sections 1, 7, 8, 9, 12 and 13.
    • Click on the button “REGISTER YOURSELF” that appears in the applicant login area and fill the required registration details.
    • Remember, while choosing your User Name it must be between 8 to 16 characters.
    • While choosing your password it must be alphanumeric and between 8 to 16 characters long.
    • After filling the mandatory information click the “SUBMIT” button.
    • Your username will be instantly sent to you via e-mail and SMS.
  3. Remember your Username and Password for subsequent login.
  4. If you have already registered i.e you are an existing user click the “LOGIN” button.
  5. Before proceeding for filling the form online the applicant must have the following:-
    1. Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB)
    2. Scanned Signature (less than 100 KB)
    3. Scanned copy of Age Proof
    4. Scanned copy of relevant Educational Qualification (less than 400 KB)
    5. Scanned Copy of Experience Certificate (if any) (less than 400 KB)
    6. Scanned Copy of Category Certificate, if SC/ST/OBC (less than 400 KB)
    7. Scanned Copy of BPL Certificate, if Below Poverty Line(less than 400 KB)
  6. Fee can be paid by the following methods:
    • Credit Card (Master/Visa)
    • Debit Card (Master/Visa/Rupay)
    • Net Banking
    • ATM Card(PNB)
  7. It is suggested to scan documents from your originals. Once you have uploaded the document, click the next button you will get the Form preview option. Save/Print your form for future reference.

Steps for filling IGNOU B.Ed Online Application form 2021:

  1. Click on the “LOGIN” button from the homepage of the Online admission system and then login with your UserName and password by clicking the “LOGIN” button given on the login screen.
  2. Fill personal details, programme details, qualification details, course details, and correspondence details. Remember, while filling qualification details :
  3. If your subjects are different than the subjects mentioned; click the “OTHERS” check box.
  4. For those with the qualification of graduation and above, in the field “Board Code” select “9999”.
  5. Upload Scanned Documents: Remember, before this step you should have the relevant scanned documents (It is suggested to scan documents from your originals). These include:
    Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB)
    • Scanned Signature (less than 100 KB)
    • Scanned copy of Age Proof.
    • Scanned copy of relevant Educational Qualification (less than 400 KB)
    • Scanned Copy of Experience Certificate (if any). (less than 400 KB)

  6. Pay your Programme fee through debit/credit card (Master/ Visa/ Rupay) and Net banking :
    1. Payment by Debit/Credit Card (Master/Visa/Rupay): You have to select the Debit/Credit Card option to pay the program fee and follow the online instruction to complete the payment of a fee. After successful payment, you will be able to print/save the payment confirmation slip.
    2. Payment by Net banking: If you have a net banking account select this option. You will be redirected to your bank website.
    3. Payment by ATM Card (PNB)

Once you have uploaded the document and click the “NEXT” button you will get the Form Preview option. Save/Print your form for future reference.
