TS Govt Declared 1st January as Public Holiday: Govt of Telangana, HOLIDAYS – Declaration of 1st January as Public Holiday instead of Optional Holiday, and declaring 2nd Saturday of February 2016 i.e 13.02.2016 as working day in lieu of 01.01.2020-Notification-Orders-Issued; G.O.Rt.No.3456 Dated: 31.12.2015

ORDER:
In the G.O. read above, Government have issued orders declaring 01.01.2016 (Friday) as Optional Holiday on the occasion of ‘New Year’s Day.

Further, Government have now decided to declare 1st January, 2016 as Public Holiday instead of Optional Holiday. The 2nd Saturday of February, 2016 i.e. 13.02.2016 will be a working day in lieu of Public Holiday declared on 01.01.2016. Accordingly, the following notification is issued and shall be published in the extra-ordinary Gazette of Telangana State:

NOTIFICATION
In partial modification of the orders issued in G.O.Rt.No.3192, General Administration (Poll.A) Department, dated 05.12.2015, notifying the General Holidays and Optional Holidays, the Government hereby declare 01.01.2016 (Friday) as Public Holiday on the occasion of New Year’s Day, instead of Optional Holiday, declared earlier.

Consequently, 13.02.2016 (2nd Saturday of February) shall be observed as a working day for all the Government Offices of Telangana State in lieu of Public Holiday declared on 01.01.2016 (Friday).

Reference: G.O.Rt.No.996, G.A.(Poll.A) Dept., dated: dt.05.11.2014 .Order: In the G.O. read above, Government have issued orders declaring the General Holidays under N.I.Act, 1881 for the year 2015.

Further, the Government has decided to declare 01st January 2015 as a Public Holiday on the occasion of New Year’s Day.  Accordingly, the following notification is issued and shall be published in the extra-ordinary Gazette of Telangana State:

NOTIFICATION:
In partial modification of the orders issued in G.O.Rt.No.996, General Administration (Poll.A) Department, dated 05.11.2014, the Government hereby declare  01.01.2015 (Thursday) as Public Holiday on the occasion of New Year’s Day, under  N.I.Act, 1881.

As per the GO.RT.No.3192 Dated: 05-12-2015, Govt of TS given the General Holidays and Optional Holidays list for the year 2016. So, January 1st, 2016 is not Public Holiday, January 1st, 2016 is an Optional Holiday.
