Telangana State Government announced the List of TS Option Holidays 2023 or TS Optional Holidays List 2023 on its official website of Govt Orders Issue Register, https://goir.telangana.gov.in/. Candidates who want know Option holiday dates can check details and download the list of optional holidays from the website.
Every year, General Administrative Department, Government of Telangana State will announced the list of General holidays and Optional Holidays through Govt Order in the month of December. TS Optional Holidays 2022 and General Holidays list download from here
List of General Holidays and Optional Holidays in Telangana for the year 2022: The Telangana State Government has notified the list of general holidays and optional holidays (list of Public and optional holidays) for the year 2022. State chief secretary has released a GO with respect to the holidays’ list. Orders to this effect were issued in December month.
The 12th of February (Second Saturday) will be a working day in view of the public holiday declared on January 1, 2022. The list contains 23 public holidays excluding Sundays and second Saturdays for government offices. While 23 optional holidays are being given for public and private enterprises under the Negotiable Instruments Act.
The State government has notified general and optional holidays to be observed by all the State government offices during the year 2022. Though government offices remain closed on all second Saturday of every month and all Sundays, February 12, 2021, a second Saturday, however, would be a working day in lieu of a holiday declared on January 1, 2022.

In addition to the notified general holidays, the State government employees may avail optional holidays not exceeding five on the festival/ occasions. In case of any change of date in respect of Idu’l Fitar, Idu’l Zuha, Muharram and Id-e-Milad as per the moon sighting or any other holiday declared now, it would be notified accordingly. Here is the list of holidays in Telangana for 2022.
General Holidays in Telangana: The State Government had notified the list of general holidays and optional holidays in 2022. Orders to this effect were issued. Remember that, The 12th of February (Second Saturday) will be a working day in view of the public holiday declared on January 1, 2022.
Optional Holidays in Telangana: The State Government employees could avail themselves five optional holidays in 2022.
The Telangana government has made an important announcement on the Diwali holiday (Deepawali Holiday) giving clarity to the students and employees and declared a holiday on the 24th (Monday) of this month. Meanwhile, the order states that the holiday has been changed from 25th to 24th as the priests decided to celebrate Diwali on 24th. It has been clarified that the same thing is included in Panchangas also.
Generally, it is customary to celebrate the Deepawali festival on the new moon day of Ashwayuja month. As Amavasya is on the 25th in the calendars, the festival is believed to be on the same day. But, the priests make it clear that Diwali falls on the 24th, not the 25th. The priests stated that Diwali should be held on the same day as the evening of the 24th is considered Amavasya. It is said that Dhana Lakshmi Puja should also be performed on the same day.
