Although access to these is not easy in terms of demand, the choice is transparent. The lottery procedure is followed for this. So those who want to join their children in class 1 can make an effort. Seats will be available if there are vacancies in the remaining classes.
Admission Procedure: Each school has a section in one class. There are at least 20 to 60 seats in each section, depending on the area where the school is located. Sections two to five are available in first class in most KV schools. Elsewhere, classes are held on a morning and afternoon shift basis. Due to the sections and shifts, more students are getting the opportunity to join KVs.
